Kiama Leagues Club is a standout destination on the South Coast, and my recent experience at Sails Bistro left me thoroughly impressed. Nestled within the club's welcoming atmosphere, Sails Bistro offers a delightful culinary journey that combines freshness with exceptional taste.
Upon entering, I was struck by the impeccable cleanliness and inviting ambiance. The staff greeted me warmly, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the grilled salmon from their dinner menu. Cooked to perfection, the salmon was tender and flavorful, complemented by a medley of seasonal vegetables that were as fresh as they were delicious.
What truly sets Kiama Leagues Club apart is their commitment to excellent customer service. Throughout my meal, the staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring that every need was promptly met. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate dietary preferences added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
Beyond the culinary delights, the club itself is well-maintained with modern decor and comfortable seating areas. Whether you're there for a meal, a drink, or to enjoy the live entertainment, the atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, perfect for both families and friends alike.
For those seeking a place to unwind and savor great food, Kiama Leagues Club, and particularly Sails Bistro, comes highly recommended. The grilled salmon was a highlight of my visit, but the entire experience—from the cleanliness to the customer service—exceeded expectations. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this venue promises a delightful escape with a touch of coastal charm. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu and enjoy another evening of excellent...

We were going to see the band playing and called up in advance to confirm that my 16 months old son could sit with us in the area where the band and stage is set up and they said “yes”.
So we arrived at sat down for approximately an hour in that area and ordered drinks. My husband took our son outside for some fresh air for a few minutes and came back in only to be told we couldn’t sit at the stage area with my son.
The family area is the only area kids can be around however my son wasn’t running around, he was going to stay in the high chair the whole time.
We eventually accepted that we couldn’t sit to watch the band up front and went to move and they only had tall tables available which my son couldn’t sit at. Those tables don’t accomodate children at all. Asked if they could move some tables around so my son could sit and eat with us as a family. They wouldn’t do so and was told “you should have booked a table” even though they gave us the wrong information and we organised the night based off that information.
The manager didn’t listen or care that one of her workers gave us wrong information just put the blame on us and made it out to be our mistake.
Again good food and bev but lacks customer service and they definitely could have been a bit more accomodating by moving some chairs and tables around for us so my son could simply sit at a table with us, I had to sit at a different table with him from the rest of my family because the tables were too tall and the table I was sitting at with him wasn’t big enough to fit the remaining...
Read moreWe're just passing through & stop over in Kiama for one night & luckily tumbled into this Gem for dinner. I had the Sirloin Steak. Despite it's a bit overcooked (Medium at the best rather than Med Rare I asked for), the quality of meat & the tasty gravy had made up for it, despite I wish the Steak could be bigger (250 gm is kinda small for me). Service is very nice & friendly yet the kitchen capacity is not matching with the demand ... we've to wait almost an hour for our dinner. The New York Cheese Cake is spot on. This BISTRO had exceeded almost every expectation we've with any club we've been to.
We love our dinning experience so much that we actually went back there for lunch the next day before we left Kiama. I've the Roast of the Day - Beef & it's very tasty with good portion. For a A$12 lunch it is a screamingly good value for money. Need not to say, we've the New York Cheese Cake again. We've got ourselves so full that my better half actually gotta take a nap after lunch right there on our table before we're fit enough to drive back to Sydney.
All I could say is Thank You & wish you to keep up the good work & don't change except it is for even better. You could be one of the few reasons why I would come this way again...
