As a coeliac, eating out can be stressful, especially when you're tired and hungry. These guys understood what to do to make my meal coeliac friendly, even without extra prompting I.e. making sure there was no cross contamination on the toaster. They had gluten free buns available, made sure the ingredients were fresh and not taken from another sandwich and took caution when toating my sandwich. Not to mentioned it was just delicious. Not only was there no POS for an espresso….therefore the thinking is no one drinks espresso(?)…but there was no hard China or cutlery. The environmental footprint of this cafe is substantial. We were left with a cardboard box and paper bag for our undercooked Portuguese Tart and two takeaway cups and two non recyclable lids. We love the idea that you can pop in during peak our cafe time, and grab a quick coffee and take away without the lines and wait. Quick service and the grab and go yoghurts and salads are so handy for me because I work all day and need a healthy take away lunch which is hard to find in Kingy.
