These are easily the best burgers you will find around the area. Friendly service, quality ingredients. The burgers are tasty, fat doesn't run down your arm. It's clear that the team take pride in creating each burger, and I've never been disappointed. They use a great quality American-style (?) cheese that is the best I've tasted. The beef patties are cooked perfectly.
It's easy for someone to review a place and claim that they offer the best around, but these burgers actually are the real deal. The burgers are as good/better than the top burger joints you line up hours for in capital cities. Their side offerings of dirty fries are equally amazing.
There are generally three similar double cheeseburger offerings, a vegetarian burger, and a burger of the month. It would be great to see a more broader menu with different burger offerings. Although, if you're doing something just about perfect already, you want to keep that quality and offering consistent. Personally, I'd like to see a permanent chicken burger option, as well as a single patty cheeseburger option for times when you feel like something different/less. They once offered a chicken caeser burger, and it was just as good as their beef options, with top quality ingredients and the same level of taste.
Genesis cooks the burgers best. You can really tell he knows how to, and takes pride in creating a tasty burger. He usually cooks things just a tad longer than the rest of the team, and as a result, his burgers are a definite 10/10.
You won't be disappointed. You really need to pay a visit if you haven't already and try it out. I have to say I was sceptical at first however, I was truly taken aback at the quality offering given...
Read moreBest burger I've ever eaten in my life. Quality ingredients cooked with skill. If you're used to local fish and chip shop burgers with cheap buns, cheap iceberg lettuce, cheese and sauce then this is a life changer! High quality across the board. Been going since they opened, should have left a good review sooner! The boss is always friendly and he remembers my orders (there is a few different ones depending on my mood!) and is happy to make small changes to accomodate the customer. Great rustic kind of atmosphere. They're faster than most takeouts too, food in hand in minutes.
If I was forced to make a criticism; the menu is a little small and could do with expansion but it's a small local store and it's understandable they have a small menu of the most popular stuff. It's also a little more pricey than a cheap fish and chip shop burger or a nasty big chain store burger (yuck!) but the quality difference is out of this world. Worth every...
Read morePro’s: Beautiful milk bun, super soft, good tasting The wait was short for premium burgers Pickles were good, and I don’t even particularly like pickles! Meat was juicy and cooked perfectly Cheese melted amazingly and onion was good
Con’s (and why this isn’t 5 stars): No napkins/serviettes No wash sink, I understand there isn’t much room for a bathroom but eating a burger always results in dirty oily hands, so having to walk down the road to the pub and using their toilet was inconvenient so just having a hand washing sink on the wall somewhere would be an amazing addition (also more important with no napkins or etc to clean your hands)
If I came here again I probably would go for a different burger than the Double Haven Cheese, as I felt it was just missing some bacon and lettuce so next time I’d probably be grabbing a Cathie!
Almost 5 stars guys. Thanks for...
