Flipz n Chipz — Restaurant in Laurieton

The best fish and chips we have had for a long long while .. years. In fact we were on our last leg of a 5 week ... 12686km journey from Sydney to the Rock and nowhere have we had such perfectly fried food. Just look at that golden brown batter fried to a sharp crispness! Yet the fish inside was juicy and flaky and soft and a huge piece of it too. One could tell the fish was so fresh. And the chips too look at the colour. Wide strips of them but very thin the strips are so the flesh inside is cooked very well and the crust is super crunchy.

There was a longish que.. but this only indicates the popularity of the place and is an obvious draw from a distance. Well...

If you're on the hunt for some seriously delicious fish and chips in the area, you owe it to yourself to check out Nellz Flipz n Chipz in Laurieton. Let me tell you, I've tried fish and chips from all over, and I can confidently say the Flathead and Chips I had from Nellz was the best I have ever had.

The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection - the crispy outer coating gives way to moist, succulent fish that practically melts in your mouth. And the chips? Don't even get me started. They're perfectly crispy and seasoned just right.

Honestly, I can't recommend Nellz Flipz n...

We had battered flathead ,chips, potato scallops, calamari and pineapple fritters. The chips and fish were lovely and very tasty, beautifully cooked. The calamari unfortunately was very overcooked and rubbery. The potato scallops were good. The pineapple fritters were delicious! There was plenty of everything. It was very good overall, a bit overpriced, however the staff were really friendly and polite. We'd eat there again, a good find...
