Wow Wow Wow, Amazing Delizioso Restaurant
Laurieton
Italian Soul, Aussie Heart, Unforgettable Night
You know those meals you still talk about days later and want to share with others ? The kind where every bite feels like a holiday in Tuscany and the service feels like you’re dining with old friends?
Well, welcome to Delizioso in Laurieton — where Italy meets the Mid North Coast, and magic is served on every plate.
We were lucky enough to score a last-minute table (thanks to Shane – more on him in a second), and what followed was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere — and that’s saying something after years of travel, good meals, and high standards.
The food? Delizioso, of course It means delicious in Italian, but that doesn’t quite capture how good it was. Each dish was a celebration of flavour, tradition, and care — the kind that makes you close your eyes after the first mouthful and just smile.
But what truly set the night apart was the people. Shane, running the show with effortless charm, calm under pressure, whilst his beautiful staff treated us like royalty.
The place was packed — really humming — yet he still found the time to check in, chat, and make us feel seen.
When I thanked him for squeezing in Deb (my wife of 40 years, and still my favourite dinner date), he simply smiled and said, “You’re lucky we had a spare table!”
Book early, trust me, this is a popular place
Then Shane lit up as he spoke about Enrico — the heart of the kitchen.
Enrico is the real deal — a chef who’s cooked around the globe and somehow (lucky for us) fell in love with Laurieton.
I met him as we were leaving — warm, genuine, and beaming with pride that we’d enjoyed his food. You could tell — this wasn’t just cooking. It was passion on a plate.
So here’s the deal:
If you’re after great food — go to Delizioso.
If you want great food and a memorable night — definitely go to Delizioso.
And if you want all of the above plus to feel like you’ve been welcomed into a big Italian family, then ring ahead, book a table, and prepare to be spoiled.
Delizioso isn’t just a name — it’s a promise.
And they deliver on it, beautifully.

Read moreSorry guys, all for support local but our visit felt disappointing after reading many great reviews we decided to give it a go unfortunately the experience was not what it is hyped up to be.. front house waitress made us feel very uncomfortable no friendly greeting not even a smile then when we couldn't get recieption on my phone and had to stand in the freezing cold awkwardly waiting for app to load while she rolled her eyes rather than asking if maybe we would prefer to sign in on paper (even though we had a booking with our name and number). We then we waited 45mins just for our entrees and extra for our mains, food looked appealing at first sight, huge serving sizes and well plated, sadly every dish was waaay over salted (not just to me either) everything tasted like salt we didn't finish. Very loud place kept hearing the door behind me slam and tables being so close could barely hear the waitress or our own conversation. On the upside our tables waitress did an amazing job he was friendly, approachable and accommodating to our requests drinks came out quick. I don't know if maybe it was just a bad night have only been once maybe just a once off 🤷♀️ give it a try may have just been our meals. This is an example of why you have to read the bad...
Read moreFirst time having takeaway here. Arrived, seemed like a great atmosphere to dine-in, but we will never know. Italian cuisine has many staples, the simple garlic bread would probably be overlooked because of how basic and easy it is to master. This restaurant let us down with their $8 garlic bread. It was a very poor attempt and we do not recommend anyone spend their money on it. Maybe pay another $2 to add cheese to mask the lack of flavour. No salt, little garlic, soggy sourdough and small serving.
The pizza was pretty good, would get that again.
Here is a basic garlic bread recipe to try.
Ingredients: Heaps of fresh crushed garlic (local produce) Fresh butter bread from local bakery (try a round loaf) Salt flakes Mustard seeds Light chill spice Herbs (italtian)
Cut loaf like a cake, don't go all the way through spread garlic butter mix in all the crevices, be generous 3, bake for 10-20 mins 180 degrees 4, take out, sprinkle salt, herbs, and most implortantly spread a little mustard seed in there, that's it, good boy.
Serve and be proud you now make the best garlic bread in the Port Macquarie - Hastings area, you will reap the rewards of every local that will come and taste the Italian greatness of your...
