Dark Horse Espresso — Restaurant in Lismore

I consider my local coffee house is Dark Horse Espresso. Satisfactory array of vegan titbits most days so far. Excellent service and knowledgeable, friendly staff are all to willing to accommodate and assist whatever the request may be. Particularly enjoyed just walking in off the street, having a wheelie frame at times due to a pre-existing condition, access concerns do plague me quite relentlessly at this time. Other establishments do not cater to my particular requirements, I am proud to say that Dark Horse Espresso Cafe doesn't discriminate against disabled people who use wheels instead of just legs, or people who have a movement disorder and require a wheelie frame for steadying and support for example. Its funny because I never noticed the access issue when I was able-bodied but now I see barriers all over the town. I hate to talk about shop facades while they aren't able to be represented but honestly you guys aren't doing anything to drum up business and invite the patron in. I always want good food so I go to Dark Horse Espresso Cafe for easy coffee and treats, you can ask me next time what fresh vegan delicacies one can buy. Honestly not sure why I keep coming back to this place. I want to like it so much, atmosphere is great. But, like other customers here in the reviews, I've also had burnt waffles, flavorless fritters, and just generally met with grumpy "can't be bothered" staff. The food is average at best... bland, flavorless and inconsistent. And frankly I'm just sick and tired of paying over the top boutique prices for average food and nothing but short grumpy attitude from the young staff. Seems to be all too common at these sorts of cafes these days.

Edit: After sending detailed feedback about my experiences to Brandon at his request, I got zero reply. After a week without a reply I sent a follow up email just to make sure he had recieved the email. A full week after this follow up I finally recieved the very generic one sentence response... "Yes thank you for sending that through, all feedback is always appreciated.". I had visited Dark Horse early Monday morning 5/August 2024. Absolutely appalled by the lack of hygiene displayed by the young girl who mainly took orders at the Till but also served meals to tables. Four customers had arrived and sat at a table outside and had two dogs with them. The young girl had came out with two coffees and then patted both dogs. She returned to the same table and again patted both dogs. She had handle customers meals before coming back to the same table and patted the dogs a third time and rubbing her hands around the dogs mouth.
