Happy valentines day!!!!!! Thank you so much for completely ruining our night. After waiting 50 minutes for our meal and seeing others who arrived after us eating first, I decided to finally approach a staff member. He said oh I'll go and check now, once he had checked he did not approach us at all to explain. He continued to work and look at us from afar as we were starving! Then I had to approach again asking if it would be much longer. He checked, then finally came over and said sorry, it won't be long, rather than explaining our docket had been lost and our meals hadn't even been put through. We continued to watch everyone around us (who arrived well after us) receive their steaks (what I had ordered). After waiting a further half an hour and asking again!!! our meals came and they were disgusting, we could not believed we had actually been served something so appalling. After waiting an hour and a half + for a meal & getting incredibly frustrated we weren't even hungry anymore. Yes, we were offered an entree to "get us through until our meals come out" but we had already had an entree, we didn't want to ruin our mains with another one and thought surely our meals couldn't be too much longer. We even had customers around us apologising that they received their meal first and that if they were us they would speak to management. So we did, she was amazing and so apologetic!! Went there for a friends Birthday 27 May 2017. Had a great meal. Considering the restaurant was packed the meals came in a timely manner and most importantly our table of 7 were all served at the same time something that even the best restaurants can't seem to achieve. The food was above average but for pub food exceptional. Prices are above most pub meals in Lismore but the decor, service is as well whilst the quality of the meals are much above average. Mains average around $22 - $25 but there are cheaper options for those on a budget. Desserts start from $6 (cheesecake) up to $14 for more exotic desserts. I had a lamb shank and cheesecake (total $26) and it was superb. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They know their stuff and are well trained. Drawbacks: do not sit near the bar. It can get busy. For a pub meal this is amongst the best. In fact this could have been a 5 star review but for one thing. Two of my friends ordered a sticky date pudding. Both commented it was dry. They asked for extra sauce to correct this and were told there would be a charge of $1 for this. Charging $1 to correct what a diner validly views as a problem is stupid in my view. Terrible! Do not go here! Went here with a group of 10 people. Waited over an hour an a half for our food and when it finally came out the food was tasteless, overcooked, and very underwhelming. Service was terrible and the staff had no clue what they were doing.
