I've been dining in culturally unique restaurants for a little over three years now in my local region.
Café Saffron is conveniently located on a one way cultural street hub, with Level 1 street access for all customers and an inviting and accessible storefront with a single sliding door and storefront presentation. Inside, the store radiates with cultural significance and very easily offers the theme of the restaurant and its food variants. Additionally, the restaurant workers are of the respective cultural heritage, making the restaurant meet their theme, and adds a layer of professionalism and knowledge to the styles of meal catered to the customers who dine in and get takeaway.
Café Saffron is an all rounder. Customer service is great, with considerate question catering to customer tastes, such as "Would you like the meal name mild, medium or hot" in spiciness, and routine check ins after the meal is served, goes to show customer consideration for feedback.
As for the meals, I've only tried all the Kormas (chicken, lamb, beef etc.), their Butter Chicken and the Basmati and Coconut Rice as a meal side, as each meal may or may not need to be ordered with a side of rice to dilute the meal, depending on customer preference. without a doubt, they are very tasty, with a unique and invested flavour of spices and choices of ingredients.
Overall, the restaurant is a must visit for locals, travellers, and cuisine interested persons...
Read moreSeriously everyone,
This Indian cuisine (And I am a global traveller big time) is top 3 outside of India itself, and in any Nation I've travelled to. Not kidding. I am not fussy, I've lived in third world Nations and whatever. But I know epic cuisine having grown up in a family restaurant in Byron Bay that attracted celebs from all over the world.
I don't know how, but these legends have nailed every dish I've eaten, I was stunned, because lismore is largely void of any superb restaurant food. Its all nice at best.
Please try this little slice of Indian Heaven. Staff are exemplary and they are so well priced. Our new go to restaurant. We no longer have to travel to the Gold Coast !!
I just hope I can get a table when everyone catches onto this place and their extensive menu for meat eaters and vegans alike.
Thank you guys, see you...
Read moreAfter walking around Lismore for 45 minutes in need of some really satisfying nourishment my son and I opted for the Vintage Punjab after spotting Masala Dosa on the sandwich board outside. I had enjoyed a very satisfying dining experience previously when the restaurant was called the Saffron Café and this experience was no different. With plant based and Gluten free requirements the friendly waitress guided us through the options. Excellent attentive and responsive service, very good food and we shared a lovely chat about Sikh culture and traditions that really made the experience extra special. We had the place to ourselves with some takeaway customers coming and going. Just a lovely quiet place to sit and...
