Hammerich's Coffee Hillcrest — Restaurant in Logan City

I have been a coffee drinker for 10+ years and I have tried nearly every coffee shop in the area... I can hands down say I have found the best coffee at Hammerichs Hillcrest. Beans are top of the range and NEVER taste burnt. Seems silly to say, but if you're a frequent coffee drinker you will understand the frustration spending $7 on a burnt coffee. Top that off, they make the coffee at the PERFECT temperature, so my drive to work I can actually sip on it and enjoy it. I don't have to wait an hour for it to cool down from being so hot. Add onto that, I have actually never gone into a coffee shop, or any retail/ fast food place where EVERY... SINGLE... PERSON provides a great customer service experience. Quite literally every person who works there no doubt has a smile, and actually makes you feel welcome. In this day, its hard to find somewhere where the workers are welcoming, but the staff at Hammerichs actually seem like they all thoroughly enjoy their workplace. That is a major shout out to the owner, who actually steps foot in the store and works along his team (I don't see that these days often at all). Cannot get an order right and will then lie to you. I ordered a honeycomb coffee this morning. When I collected the drink I was instantly suspicious as it was topped with cookie crumbs and the drink was brown - not at all like the honeycomb I usually get. When I questioned the staff to make sure that the drink was in fact the honeycomb coffee - I was assured that yes it was. I accepted this as to not make an issue and to continue on to work. It became abundantly clear that, upon tasting the coffee, it was not honeycomb at all. I have no idea what they gave me but it was not what I ordered. It tasted like cookies and cream, with no coffee at all. It was too late to turn around and go back and I know it’s first world problems but not getting your coffee in the morning can throw off a whole day. I’m usually a loyal customer but this has me rethinking where I get my coffee. I don’t know if it’s a training issue or if the staff just don’t care enough but it’s definitely not ok. I USED to be a sucker for zarraffas. I tried this little coffee chain on a whim and I cannot have zarraffa's anymore, its flavourless after trying good coffee.

The food is a little over priced but it is so delicious, my go to order is the capacino with a quarter pump of butterscotch ( just enough to get a slight flavour but not sweet!) And a bacon, egg and cheese sanga. (The relish and sauce on it just makes it!! They dont skimp on bacon either!)

The customer service is ALWAYS impeccable, I bring my bearded dragon on occasion ( popcorns picture below!) She is always welcome when I bring her ( support animal) and she gets alot of compliments and puts a smile on some faces. I appreciate that i am able to have a safe place to go to just sit, enjoy a coffee and am welcome...
