Jamaica Blue Logan Hyperdome — Restaurant in Logan City

The staff here are always pleasant now, that has much improved.

Unfortunately it is extremely hard to get something savoury to eat and a coffee for a decent price, their prices seem to have risen. The most annoying thing with this company is that they do not have the prices on the food in the display cabinet. So you have to either ask or read their menu which holds everyone up, including themselves.

The iced latte/coffees are always luke warm, they never seem to chill any coffee for these orders. There was barely any ice cream in the iced coffee so it remained luke warm.

I bought an almond croissant and she asked me if I wanted it fresh or warmed - this is a telling sign that they could be 1+ day old so I asked for it warmed. They put it in the m-i-c-r-o-w-a-v-e, which of course made it impossible to cut, pull apart or eat. It needs to be gently warm in a mini oven just for a minute or two. Not nuked in a microwave, not a toastie press.

When we arrived at Jamaica Blue there were plenty of seats to choose from. I ordered at the counter and although there was only one person working there at the time, the service was quick. I ordered a half strength Cappuccino, it was lovely and creamy with plenty of froth but next time I will order full strength as it was way too weak in taste. One of my friends ordered a normal strength Latte and although she enjoyed it she said that she would have enjoyed it more if it had been stronger. The 3rd coffee that was ordered was a normal strength flat white which my friend has often at other cafes and he said that the coffee strength was just right and was nice and creamy. I was very lucky to be able to invite 2 friends along to sample Jamaica Blue's coffee and I have given my honest opinion and passed onto you what my friends...

I do not live in the area but due to health reasons I am staying locally for 2 weeks. As part of my recovery process I've been going to the Hyperdome each day and am so grateful I found this little gem.

The staff have always been very friendly with prompt service. I've not had a 'meal' (but have seen meals going out to other customers and they always look so good! 👀) just food from the display cabinet, (can highly recommend the lemon and lime cheesecake 👍👍) and have enjoyed it.

They make a lovely iced chai, which can't be said for all places.

I find their prices reasonable and food well presented.

As I write this the effervescent Tarnee just cleared my table. What a gift she is with her friendly, smiling personality.
