Sammy’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Logan City

If I could leave NO STARS with my comment I would. I scratch my head because I just don't know how this place gets 5 stars. Absolutely the worst gado gado and laksa my husband and I have ever tasted and we have eaten out hundreds of times in restaurants and cafes Australia wide. We giggled that the menu had one dish that said it had in brackets (letter leaves) lol intead of lettuce leaves. Our mixed entry (that's how the waitress said it) came out with 1 small spring roll, a small dim sim and 1/2 a slice of deep fried prawn toast which tasted like old cooking oil. The gado gado came out looking like slop. It consisted of what tasted like old woollies pre-packaged sliced veggies with about 2 cups of water and a teaspoon of peanut butter. The seafood laksa we ordered looked just as bad as the gado gado. It was brown liquid with noodles, I could only find 1 single solitary prawn along side pieces of seafood extender and tofu cut through the dish. A piece of the seafood extender looked like it had teeth marks on it. The camera in the dining room was off putting. I wondered why there was a camera since there was nothing of value there. The stacked up unused tables and chairs in the dining area made for one of the most unusual decor items we've ever come across. We wondered why we were the only diners... Now we know why. We left DISGUTED. We ended up going to Oporto's in Holmview after Sammy's. Should've gone there in the first place. Hubby and I reckon Sammy's Malaysian Kitchen in Loganlea Rd is the WORST DINING OUT experience...

If I could leave a negative five star rating, I would. Order was placed interstate by my partner's sister who specifically said no nuts what's so ever as he is deathly allergic (anaphylactic). Delivery arrived at the door and we proceeded to eat the meal. As we didn't order the food, we didn't know what was ordered. I ate what was supposed to be a "steamed mixed vegetable" and received the vegetables with beef and cashews. He then finished why I couldn't eat.Unknowingly to me, cashews are apart of the nuts he happens to be allergic too. Quick action was taken so we wouldn't be in a serious condition (potentionally leading to death). We went to the restaurant to ask HOW this happened. They were nothing but rude and incompetent. Wanted nothing to do with us and proceeded to blame everyone else but themselves, even the delivery driver?? Police and city council have been contacted and this issue WILL be taken forward. If you want a death wish, unhygienic, rude service, then eat at this...

Three years ago this was a 5 star review. Now it's a shallow shell of what it used to be. Mongolian beef has gone from rich and tasty to a watery mess with undercooked onions. Sweet and sour pork has gone from tender bite size pieces with toothsome batter to huge, overcooked, tough chunks with batter so tough it literally tore the inside of my mouth. Omelettes are no longer fluffy instead they are more like an amorphous mass of scrambled eggs. Worst of all, the top chef's dish i used to order every time (Sammy's Chicken), the current cooks DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO MAKE. And of course the prices have gone up. I had hoped the declining quality of their food over the last little while was just a phase, but after this time I'm truly done with Sammy's, because Sammy...
