It took be a while to get to this review as I had to understand what my experience with the food was.
While the restaurant cook(s) use the essense of Indian cooking, they need more experience in making a specific dish. While the food is generally good and resonably priced, you can only appricate it if you forget what exactly you ordered.
One may say either cook(s) make every dish in their own homemade non-standard style, or that they need more experience in making a dish as per the generally accepted protocol and standard.
I ordered a biryani, and near-authentic biryani has a signature presentation, mouth-feel, expectation. This is acheived by step-wise preparation, layers of rice and spice blend that are built on each other.. Yes, what the Chef made was good, but that's not what you expect when you order a biryani.
Good Indian food is like a beautify painting with vibrant colours on your taste buds. If I ask for Da Vinci, I don't expect Jackson Pollock even if they are both vibrant colours on a canvas.
Regarding ordering, the till staff seems new and young, who is still learning an Indian menu perhaps. Its best to...
Read moreWorst diner we've ever had. The service was terrible, they misunderstood what we ordering and then served us the wrong banquet as well. They did serve us the correct entire when we told them that they had served the wrong one, and didn't charge us for the mistaken food we ate.
All the food was microwaved and much of it tasted like the inside of a fridge. The chicken starter was also cold on the inside. ALL the chicken was very overcooked and dry. Very very dry. The butter chicken and butter paneer was bland. It only tasted like cream, which was overwhelmingly rich.
The Garlic Cheese Naan was very good and quite enjoyable.
We didn't finish our meal, choosing to pay and leave before we had desert, which was a part of the banquette we were paying for. Neither of us have walked out of a restaurant before finishing a meal before. Which says a lot for us.
To the staff: I'm sorry, but please, please eat your own food and work on your craft. Two staff should be able to cook for a table of two and a few online orders. You can't claim you were too busy or...

Isn’t that the point of getting take out that they cook it for you once ordered ? Makes no sense not happy at all it’s been a long night and I just wanted some take out as most places are closed to be turned down when there is customers clearly in the shop he was so so rude and to be the manager of a shop but complain when someone tries to show up to order is a disgrace… especially when the shop states it is open for another 2.5 hours… would not recommend will not be back after...
