Came here tonight EMPTY as you can see by the pictures. We walked in just 2 people - myself and my toddler we saw the “Reserved” signs on the tables but there were two tables out back that weren’t reserved so we went to go sit down then a lady came up to us and told us to sit down at the singular seats I told her why not it’s empty and she began to explain it’s only for “4 people” I explained 2 people were coming (which they weren’t) but why as a fast food chain would you deny someone seated at a table? Anyways we began to eat our food at the table as another lovely mum and her toddler sat in front of us just them two.. I asked her if she has anyone else joining her table and she said no or if they mentioned anything to her about it’s a “table for 4 people” she said no. Minutes later George (that’s what the lady told me her managers name is) their manager came in pointing at myself and this mum why we are at the table by ourselves and we shouldn’t be there rude and extremely unprofessional George dictating where people should sit at a fast food chain while it’s EMPTY with no customers. I went up to pay and asked that lady once again why she didn’t ask the other mum and she had no words or why we can’t sit at the table then she proceeded to tell us “It’s in our policy” I asked her it’s empty where in the policy does it state this. You guess it, she couldn’t show me because it’s not a policy it’s what George tells his staff to say :) Just extremely rude and unprofessional wouldn’t recommend supporting this location with a manager like George as you give a bad rep to the whole of Sushi Hub. Also pictured is the sushi rose, way too tiny for that price $8.60 for a thumb piece of...
Read moreThis was my second visit to this restaurant, this time with my son. During the first visit, I chalked up the less-than-ideal service to just an off day, and even sympathized when I overheard another customer expressing frustration. However, after our most recent experience, I feel compelled to share my concerns.
We love sushi train places, and I was hopeful this visit would be better. I ordered through the tablet at the table, and one of the items I chose was the gyoza. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was overcooked, with the outside almost resembling something stale. I politely asked for the usual gyoza dipping sauce, but was met with a curt response from Tao Tao, who told me that the sauce was not available, which I found surprising.
As we continued to wait for the rest of our food, I noticed a staff member—who was not in uniform—standing behind the counter with her hair loose, preparing food while chatting casually with colleagues. This struck me as unprofessional, especially considering the standard of service I expect when dining out.
I fully appreciate how demanding the hospitality industry can be, and I understand that everyone has tough days. However, as paying customers, it’s disappointing when the overall experience falls short, especially after giving the restaurant a second chance. I hope the management takes note of these issues to ensure a better experience for...
Read moreHi everyone, this is my first negative review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience to keep others safe.
On the afternoon of December 30th, I decided to buy sushi from Sushi Hub. I’ve loved their sushi and have been a loyal customer for many years. However, this time was different.
Fifteen minutes after getting home, I opened the box, and to my horror, a fly flew out of the package. On closer inspection, the sushi was covered in fly eggs. I can’t even describe how disgusted I felt—just thinking about it still makes me feel sick.
My husband and I went straight back to the store (we had to drive 12 minutes each way) to speak with the manager. To our shock, the fridge was still full of flies, flying around and crawling on the sushi. I took photos and videos as proof. Despite showing this to the staff, they did nothing to address the issue.
We left our phone number, expecting the manager to contact us the following day as promised, but it’s now January 2nd, and we’ve heard nothing.
Please be aware of this! I love sushi, but this experience was not only disgusting but also a health hazard. I don’t want anyone else to go...
