Mega Fresh — Local services in Logan City

Bad then good experience.

We have shopped here on and off whenever it was convenient and just needed produce and or meat from next door. There was a confusing altercation with us and one of the cashiers. I knocked on the Manager's office door to explained there was an issue with my shopping experience. Advised them "If there is one line there should be a sign hanging from the roof to eliminate any confusion." The team leader said "yes I heard what was said but unsure what it was about." I thanked her we walked out and into the Meat market next door.

Within minutes we had the owner and team leader approach us in Mega Meats to apologise for our negative shopping experience. Now for the owner and manager / team leader to chase down a customer whether a regular or casual shopper means they care about their reputation and relationships with their customers. We personally felt like important and valued customers to the business which has changed the way we will shop from this point on.

BEFORE TODAY we would just pickup our produce from one of the two large shopping distributors because it was convenient while we were there. NOW we will be going that extra 5 minutes out of our way to shop at Mega Fresh Fruit Market and get our meat from next while we are there.

We did not get nor ask for an apology from the cashier and we hold no ill feelings towards her as we have both had to work in customer service. However please watch the way you tell / advise people the store procedures. As much as you made the lady that was in the other line (yes before us) feel good it was not a joke at our expense nor require a comment to her about us not lining up in the que.

My missus hopes the cashier doesn't hold ill feelings towards her / us on our next shop as we have never had an issue with any staff members while shopping here in the past.

Love the ol Mega Meats for there mega range of fresh meat be it tomahawk steaks, flavoured sausages, marinated meats, chicken snittys, roasts ohh the list is endless for us carnivores. They also have a wide variety of yummy prepackaged meats and frozen seafoods they've such a wide variety then they have bacon, kranskys, cabana, cheeses milk bread ect. Then next door there's Mega fresh which stock all your fresh produce, eggs, yoghurts, nuts, honeys, theres lots of stuff there for all your needs and the prices are pretty fair. The lovely staff work hard to please all the passing customers so give them locals a go and keeps these lovely locals in a job I shop there and will continue to do so. The absolute best in the area for fresh fruit and vegetables, the service is incredible, if you need a hand getting something out to your car, ask and they'll give you a hand, If you need a hand in store, just ask, I've seen it all happen there.
