I came to this cafĂ© to sit, work, and charge my laptop because my house had a power outage. At first, I was happy with the environment and even thought about coming back in the future. I ordered a full meal and a coffee, thinking that as a paying customer, I would be welcome to stay. However, the food and coffee were disappointingânot great at all.
Despite the cafĂ© not being crowded and me quietly minding my own business, a staff member approached me and said this cafĂ© is âfor paying customers only.â I was confused because I had already bought food and a drink. When I told them that, they changed their reason and said I had left halfway. The only time I stepped away was to go to the toilet because I had a stomachacheâhow does that justify kicking me out? When I explained that, they changed their reason again and said I had been sitting too long (more than 3 hours).
If they have a strict time limit, they should make it clear upfront instead of shifting excuses and treating paying customers unfairly. The way they spoke to me was not polite, and their attitude made me feel really unwelcome. I was already having a difficult day due to the power outage at home, and I came here hoping to find a quiet place to work. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and sad.
At first, I really liked this cafĂ© and thought of coming back, but after this experienceâbad food, bad coffee, and rude serviceâI...

Read moreI took my sister who lives in Bundaberg for lunch here. The asian mature lady who served us advised us that lunch had finished. We then thought we might have coffee and cake and we were told we could only sit at a table at the front that was dirty and still had food on it as they had to mop the floors. It was approximately 40 minutes before closing time.. my sister looked at me and we went else where...not good for visitors to our city. Then today my mother in law took a friend from Brisbane to the crepery and they again were told to sit out the front as they needed to mop. Another elderly lady was advised to sit outside. This kind of behaviour is terrible for us and our city's visitors. Opening times are just that...not cleaning times. REMEMBER...people will vote with their feet and in bad times as well as good. One day you will need your customers so...
