1 star can only be given for the pre-bottled soft drinks (made elsewhere) and the coffee. We last visited GyG in Maryborough a month after they opened, during May 2024. We went through the Drive Thru. It was only worth 1 star then because of cold food, and staff experience and delay. Took that review down earlier this year just in case they had improved.
NO!!! Today we dined in, and it was the worst dine in experience at a fast food establishment we have ever experienced. Spent $64.90 (as per attached picture) and not worth it in any way.
The chips were cold, and not just lukewarm. Some of them were actually cold. Took them back to be replaced with fresh ones from the fryer. (Spice/salt was very minimal).
Then had to take the Chicken Enchilada back to ask for it to be heated as it too was cold. Asked for it to be microwaved and was told "I can't do that" and it was placed in the salamander for less than a minute. Really?? How does a salamander/grill warm food within the tortilla. Try eating it with a wooden blunt knife and fork - had to fetch picnic cutlery from our car.
We thought we would give Maryborough another chance, but sorry, you blew it again. WE WILL NOT BE BACK, and honestly, if Maryborough franchise is anything to go by, we won't be back to GyG anywhere, ever.
Does GyG head office ever look at the reviews posted on their franchisees around the country to help them improve?
