@7 cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’m a regular customer and usually love the coffee and service at this shop—it’s consistently good, and the staff are generally friendly and efficient.

However, on Saturday I ordered an iced matcha latte and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The matcha was very lumpy, so I politely asked if it could be remade. Instead of making a fresh one, the barista took my cup and quickly whisked it with a handheld frother for just a couple of seconds before handing it back. The drink was still lumpy and unappetizing, and I ended up throwing it away.

I was really put off, especially as someone who comes here often and appreciates good quality. Hopefully, this was just a one-off, but I’d love to see more care taken when customers...

So my husband and I decided to go on an adventure today. We googled Late and took off to the closest one we had never been to. Thus we ended up at @7 cafe. I'll admit I had doubts when I walked in, I've seen to many nicely styled cafes with big menus that just don't cut it when it comes to the basics. The coffee. Oh My Gawd was I wrong! Not only are the coffees on dairy milk done absolutely perfectly coffee on plant based milk is the same. My Husband got a skim milk Magic and I an almond milk dirty chai. Both were superbly balanced and at the correct temperature. @7 cafe is now not only going to be our preferred cafe but I'm bringing it to the attention of my Whole Family. I dont like to complain and I do love this cafe but I was highly disappointed today I got a egg and lettuce sandwich to take away as I had a busy morning ahead and Unfortunately my food was just no eatable, the bead was stale to the point I couldn't pull the bread out the pack as it was breaking apart. When I did try the bread it was stale, dry and not appetising.

I wanted my sandwich fresh not toasted but unfortunately it was not fresh, I just suggest that if when displaying sandwiches please make sure they are freshly made it day.
