We visited this afghan restaurant today and it was very delicious! The restaurant was quiet and had old decor from the last owners so that was a little odd but I know not to judge food by the atmosphere. Qabuli Palaw (Lamb shank and rice) was superrrr flavourful and delicious, I’ve had many pilaf type rice before but this one was the BEST. Mantu (dumplings) was very different from what I’ve tried before, seems to be filled with beef and onion and covered in yoghurt, chutney and chickpeas. My husband got the shami kebab and it was well seasoned lamb mince served with a slightly spicy sauce and the garlic flatbread. We will return!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Afghan Zamarut Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The kebab was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely memorable. The service was consistently attentive and friendly, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant added an extra touch of charm, creating the ideal setting for a relaxed meal, especially during the iftar buffet. I highly recommend Afghan Zamarut Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food paired with excellent service and a great atmosphere.

Afghan Zamarut Restaurant is a cozy spot with delicious, authentic Afghan food and a warm, friendly vibe. Their Kabuli Pulao with tender lamb and fragrant rice is a must-try, and the juicy Mantu dumplings with creamy yogurt sauce are packed with flavor. The Seekh Kebabs are perfectly grilled, the fresh naan is soft and warm, and even the vegetarian dishes like Borani Banjan are bursting with taste. Don’t forget to end your meal with the refreshing Sheer Yakh (Afghan ice cream). A place you’ll definitely want to visit again!

A Complete Disaster – Avoid at All Costs!

I wish I could give this place zero stars because it doesn’t even deserve one. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made a mistake. The atmosphere was awful—dim lighting that wasn’t “cozy” but just depressing, an overpowering smell of stale grease and food that was from yesterday.

The service? Absolutely atrocious. Our server took forever to acknowledge us, and when they finally did, they acted like we were inconveniencing them by being there. It was so conjugated and all the tables chairs was soo close that you couldn’t even take a step out of your seat, they showed so nicely and well manneredly on TikTok and Insta about their iftar and seating but it was all fake, got the migraine because of the environment and the staff yelling at people to move out of the way.

Now, let’s talk about the food— food was so disgusting that made me vomit I feel so so sick nauseous I literally want this place to be closed up it can make our families sick especially in Ramadan where everything should be clean and fresh. All the dish was cold, bland, and looked like it had been thrown on the food pot with zero care. The afghani kabeb had such a bad smell and the chicken was so salty and cold was, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they just microwaved everything because it literally looked like they were defrosted and warmed up in microwave!!!!

To top it all off, the place wasn’t even clean. The tables were sticky, the chairs had rice and curry on it, the floors were disgusting, and I don’t even want to think about what the kitchen must look like.

Save your money, your time, and your stomach—go literally...

We made booking for this restaurant for iftar ( 12 ppl) but upon arrival we were told we have no booking (although the lady at the front, she was the manager according to her was letting people without booking getting in). We gave her the proof of the phone call and call back from her number but she denied that no one called from that number. Never ever in my life have I seen such a poor and unbelieveable customer service at a restaurant. I wish I could give zero for customer service. She did same to people behind us who also had a booking. I asked her to speal to the manager but was not allowed ( I wonder why). That lady ( so called manager) was nothing less than a rude, arrogant unprofessional employer! Never waste your money and ruin your mood by going...

My recent Buffet dinner experience at Afghan Zamarut was truly exceptional and left a lasting impression. I was thoroughly impressed by the authentic flavors and the quality of every dish served. The Sheekh Kebab was a definite highlight – perfectly grilled, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. The chicken Skewer were equally remarkable; whether it was grilled, stewed, or marinated, each bite was succulent and well-spiced. And the curries! Rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, they truly showcased the depth of Afghan cuisine. Afghan Zamarut delivers an unforgettable culinary journey. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious Afghan dining experience, I highly recommend paying...
