An honest and detailed review.

Where to start, firstly I don’t usually rate restaurants/stores for their service and quality of food. But WOW I’m amazed but the customer service of the restaurant and quality of their food. I thought it would’ve been a waste leaving the restaurant without a great review!

It’s my second time coming by the restaurant, and despite a rocky but understandable first visit they really put in quality in their food, despite the wait. (I waited I think 20 mins or so for regular chips with feta and oregano) It was a busy Friday evening and restaurant was understaffed.

Positives about the experience: 💯 This Monday evening I was welcomed by the server of the restaurant (his name is Alex). He was able to answer the three questions I had about the menu with a smile and a patient manner.

I’m usually annoying to all cashiers/servers and ask for additional stuff after a request is done e.g. extra chicken salt on chips or add water. But the server was full patient and was smiley throughout.

💯 Food was excellent quality, nice fresh and hot! Portions are large and filling.

The server of mine even complimented my choice for my HSP which was very nice 😭…

One thing I would critique on the service of the restaurant is please inform customers if there is a long wait for any item bought on the menu!!

When they first opened I was excited to taste the original Ali's jumbo kebabs I grew up eating in Doncaster, direct from Ali out of his van at the old petrol station. First visit did not disappoint, packed full with meat yet perfectly balanced flavour with sauce and salad. Chunky full kebab and toasted perfectly. It was exactly how I remembered, nostalgia and excitement to have them setup shop locally. Unfortunately I was let down when I tried again, meat portion in the kebab was pathetic. It was barely there, looked hard to find where the meat was hidden amongst the salad and sauce and as it was so lightly filled, it wrapped loosely and sagged apart. Would not return, does not deserve the Ali's jumbo kebab name on its store. It's like they were taught how to make a proper kebab when the branding took over, then immediately tried to cut corners and costs when the franchiser is no longer looking over...

"Impossible flavor? Totally possible!"

I had the best kebab of my life here — I can still taste it! Ali’s Jumbo Kebabs isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a temple of flavor. The meat is marinated so perfectly, it practically melts in your mouth. The bread is freshly made, the salads are crisp, and the sauces are spot-on.

I placed my order at yesterday midnight and they still served me with a smile — respect! What other kebab shop maintains this level of quality service until the early morning hours? Hats off to the chef — the level of skill here could put Michelin-starred restaurants to shame.

At first, my friends said I was exaggerating… then I took them there, and now we go every week. I don’t just recommend this place — I wildly recommend it!
