My experience at Amazing Aromas left much to be desired. Despite its reputation, I found the restaurant to be excessively expensive and overrated. The price point did not align with the quality of the dining experience they offered. The food quality was disappointingly subpar, lacking the flavors and freshness one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.
To make matters worse, the service at Amazing Aromas was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, resulting in a dining experience that felt more like a chore than an enjoyable evening out. The tastlessness of the dishes further accentuated my dissatisfaction, as each bite failed to deliver the promised burst of flavors that one anticipates from a supposedly high-end establishment.
Moreover, the quantity of food served did not justify the exorbitant prices. The portions were notably inadequate, leaving me questioning the value for money. In an era where gastronomic experiences are abundant, Amazing Aromas fell short of meeting the basic expectations one has when paying a premium for a dining experience.
All in all, I cannot in good conscience recommend Amazing Aromas to fellow diners. The combination of high prices, poor food quality, lackluster service, and insufficient portions makes this restaurant a regrettable choice for anyone seeking a truly satisfying culinary experience. Save your time and money for a more deserving...
Read moreThis place is a gem. I was so suprised to see how quiet the restaurant was when we got there. The flashing “open” sign didn’t do the place a favour I suppose but lucky we decided to walk in. The restaurant was very tidy and clean including the bathroom. Kitchen was organised and clean as well. Staff were very courteous. Menus offer wide variety of foods. We could not decide so went with the set menu. $40 was a very valuable package. We were allowed to swap some dishes as I do not eat certain meat. Honestly, we got full from the entrée 😆 we could tell the chicken had been marinated well. The sauce had been absorbed into the meat. Chicken tika was very tender. As for the rest, yum! We ended up having to pack some home as there were so much foods. Will go again when visit the Mornington.
Addit: as mentioned - we actually went back again on Wednesday 26/1 with 6 people this time. There were 2 tables of 2 and 1 people before us, so not empty like last visit but not that busy really. What we loved was still the foods - ah-mazing! What we did not like was the service. Different waiting staff (a waitress) who wore her mask under her chin the entire time. Talked over the top of us so I did not think she understood the conversation. Item swapping was not allowed this time unfortunately though they were swapped for cheaper items but also extra charges to swap. Anyway - the experience was great, just not as WOW...
Read moreOur first and second visit were during the day when the restaurant was quiet. The ambience was good, the food and service excellent. So on a good friends birthday we booked a table for three on a Saturday evening.
When we arrived the restaurant was very busy. Our table was squeezed in amongst other tables. We asked for another table and moved to a table next to the entrance, which was well less than ideal.
I ordered a gin and tonic which arrived in a large glass of the type you drink lemonade or similar, filled to the brim with tonic. I sent it back with an explanation of how to serve a gin and tonic.
When the first course arrived the waitress miss identified one of the two meals she had, with the result that we had to swop after we had started eating. The main meal was good, but nothing special. The goat curry was nice, but spoiled by many bone fragments. The chicken vindaloo was okay, but the meat was tough and chewy, with most be left on the plate. There were several other niggles that contributed to a less than enjoyable eating experience.
When I complained, i got an apology and an explanation that the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately this probably the last time we will eat at...
