I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Ashy's Afghan, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the delectable kebabs to the friendly staff, this hidden gem truly goes above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The star of the show, undoubtedly, were their mouthwatering kebabs. The distinct flavours and tender texture of the perfectly grilled meat left me truly mesmerized. The menu offered a wide variety of options, each showcasing the rich and authentic Afghan flavours. Whether it was their juicy chicken kebab or the succulent lamb kebab, every single bite was an explosion of tastes, perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of spices. Accompanied by fragrant, fluffy saffron rice and a medley of fresh vegetables, these kebabs truly transported my taste buds to the vibrant streets of Afghanistan.

However, what truly sets Ashy's Afghan apart is their exceptional staff. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with genuine smiles and warmth. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and more than happy to assist with any questions or special requests. Their passion for their cuisine was evident as they recommended popular dishes and patiently explained the nuances of Afghan cuisine. The staff's dedication to creating a comfortable and friendly environment made me feel right at home, and I cannot thank them enough for that.

The ambiance of the restaurant is charming, with beautiful Afghan décor creating an air of authenticity and warmth. The attention to detail throughout the dining area was truly commendable. The spacious and comfortable seating arrangements only added to the overall experience and allowed for an enjoyable evening with friends or family.

Lastly, I must mention the reasonable prices at Ashy's Afghan. Considering the high quality and generous portions, their prices are quite affordable, making it a fantastic value for money.

In conclusion, Ashy's Afghan is an absolute gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The delicious kebabs and friendly staff made me feel incredibly welcome, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Treat yourself to a culinary journey that will leave you coming back for more. You will not be...

Wow wow wow is all I can say. This is the best afghan/ persian restaurant ever. Have tried so many in NSW and other states and across Europe but this is by far the BEST EVER!! The Sabzi is literally the best number 1. Has no meaty smell and tastes sooo fresh and good. Great food with no excess layer of oil like others… this was super good and delicious.. the rice was fluffy and delicious. The kebab was super good tender and amazing flavour.

We had to wait a bit for the food but it was definitely worth the wait because it was peak hour weekend but the food was sooo good honestly I would recommend this Persian / Afghan restaurant to anyone. Our guests also enjoyed this food and we literally all demolished our plates was that good. The menue doesn’t say what is included and what is not so maybe I’d suggest the owner to write down exactly what comes with what. For example; the sabzi doesn’t say it comes with rice. Or the kebab doesn’t mention it comes with bread or rice of your choice. This should be clearly written on the menue for quicker service but the waiter was very friendly and explained the different menu options and showed us photos which were so helpful as we were first timers. But I think for quicker choosing the menu should be updated to reflect exactly what it comes with or what your side options are.

The price is a little dear but worth it cos it’s very delicious.

The portion size is quite small to be honest as other have mentioned in the reviews. I had to ask for a second place of rice because the rice that comes with sabzi was not enough.

But overall the taste of...

Such an amazing hidden gem.

A delightful place to have Afghan and Middle Eastern food.

The ambience is pretty good, has parking available in front of the store and there is a parking lot available that is close by.

The food was incredible. Very well cooked and was brilliantly spiced. The chicken and lamb kebabs were cooked so well that they were melting in the mouth.

We had Mantu, the dumpling were nicely cooked and the daal has a nice mild spiced taste to it. From the entrees we also tried the AFC (Afghan fried chicken) and it was delicious. This dish is amazing. If you visit this place please try it.

For the main course, we had the chicken biryani pallow which was amazing. The chicken was well cooked and the rice was hot and spicy. We also had the mixer kebab skewers platter and that was the highlight of our lunch. I have never had such perfectly cooked kebabs in Melbourne before.

This place is surely a must visit for people who like middle eastern and...
