Thought this looked cosy and friendly. All ok until I ordered raisin toast, was served fruit toast instead. All good, mistakes happen. I went to pay, but was asked why I didnt eat the toast. I explained and was immediately in an argument with the lady who served me. "That's raisin toast" She insisted. I showed her that it was fruit toast, but she calls it raisin toast. She appealed to her partner, he said it's fruit toast. She then raised her voice and yells "Why you don't bring it back so I could at least eat it?" I explained that I was simply accepting it as a mistake, was willing to pay but then was shouted at, to "Get out!". Unbelievable experience. Read moreOwners been here for nearly 20 years and can see why they have succeeded when others in area haven't. The coffees (flat whites and soy lattes) were excellent and the food...amazing! I had a cheese, tomato and avocado toasted sandwich and it was one of the best toasted sandwiches I've ever had! Really cheesy and sourdough was a good generous size. Husband had scrambled eggs and bacon on toast which he said was really good too. Then I had one of their little mince pies as they looked so sweet and yes very good. Au Citron has a range of sweet treats to take away such as Xmas cakes, carrot cake, lemon tarts etc. Seats about 12 inside with some seating outside.
