Queen Margherita Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Absolutely the best pizza bases, thin and crispy, delicious unlike the doughy and soggy pizza bases of other takeaway places. However perfection does come at a price. $73 for 3 regular pizzas (vegetarian, house special and cheesy garlic) and fries. Was going to try donuts but that would have pushed price up to $88!!! For takeaway! Yes ridiculous. Also beware when order online default option is large so make sure you change size if you need to. The vegetarian was beautiful not too much topping and the cheesy garlic had just right combination of both, while the fries were perfect, thin, crispy and just right amount of salt. So yes the pizzas are the best but you do pay a premium for them. So I will order from Queen Margherita again but just not as often as I would if they were more...

I came to Queen Margarita with a group of 5 friends for dinner. It was an utter fail on all counts. It eventually took over two hours after ordering for us to receive our food which we then had to take away. The food was cold and completely inedible; one friend had calamari salad without salad, another had cold pizza and I had homemade baked gnocchi which was neither baked nor, I suspect, home made. There's no excuse for a pizza and pasta place to get pizza and pasta so wrong. From the outside, it looks like only offers takeaway, and we almost drove off. Lucky we ventured in as right out the back, there is an intimate dining area. They weren't very busy with dine in customers but had a steady stream of takeaway orders and made an effort to serve us, but I feel dedicated waiter's are needed. The food is sensational. The pizza tasted fresh and lived up to the great reviews but was rather small for $29. I'd be inclined to try a main meal like a parma next time for this reason.
