The AU79 just opened last April 2017. This cafe owned by CCC Group that has extensive experiences in the cafe business. CCC Group also owns Addict Food & Coffee, Sir Charles, Liar Liar and Prospect Espresso. AU79 "Good as Gold" has great interior design with the high quality materials, bright, modern, sleek and also greeny with additional hanging ferns on the ceiling and other plants. They know how to treat their customers, the customer staffs were very attentive, friendly and cheerful. We've got a very good impression as soon as we arrived to this cafe. Hopefully it will be part of their business culture and not because of they're a new player in the cafe business to attract new customers. We came for a lunch and ordered a signature burger Au79 Burger (Wagyu beef patty, mac and cheese, bacon, jack cheese, pickles, tomato, lettuce, ijonnaise and fries) for $20.00. I know $20.00 for a burger is pretty expensive but if you look at the size and portion of the burger, it was massive. The Wagyu beef patty was cooked perfectly, great presentation and generous portion. They used a small pot to serve the fries which was a creative idea. Fries were also fresh, we enjoyed and really made a great choice. We would certainly come back to try some other dishes. Yay : Spacious *plenty seats available, great interior design, great customer service, great value Nay : N/A **Food** Service : 4.5 Price : 4.0 Taste : 4.5

Phenomenal food, phenomenal coffee, phenomenal service and a beautiful cafe! 🤩 FOOD & COFFEE: We ordered the Prawn Linguine and the Chilli Egg Scramble and it was wonderful! The portions were humongous and definitely worth the price! They’re also on Liven so a bonus point for us trying to save a small buck 😅 Their Prawn Linguine was the star of the show for me, I was blown away with the flavour of the dish! I’m a prawn or seafood lover so the dish sounded super enticing and when I tasted it, I was blown away! The prawns were cooked to perfection and for $27, the amount of prawns you get is definitely worth the money! The prawn bisque was flavourful and light and all the flavours just married together to have an amazing dish. It truly solidified itself as my FAVOURITE PASTA DISH EVER. The Chilli Egg Scramble was unique with a parmesan crusted croissant (have you ever heard of that?!) and although it was simple, it was done amazingly. The coffee was so rich and so flavourful that every sip I took truly was liquid gold! SERVICE: Wonderful! Everyone was friendly and attentive with one of the servers being super chirpy and lighting up our morning Overall, I adored AU79 and all they have to offer! Will I return? Most definitely! The food offerings were beyond amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes (but definitely still order the prawn linguine for myself! oops)

Initially the service was sub par. The servers seemed grumpy and had given me and my friend glasses with lipstick stains and dried food bits on them, twice. Nice of them to bring share plates but one of them had dried bits of egg yolk on it. With a big and welcoming space it was unfortunate the service lacked attentiveness and warmth. Food was just alright, potato croquette was generous in size but the croquette itself was quite oily as if it had not been fried at the correct temperature. Smashed peas and pickles cabbage tasted good and was seasoned well. Eggs were poached well but lacked seasoning. The waffle was just not a great dish. The gel that was in the chocolate shell had nice lime flavour but had an unpleasant pithy bitterness that ruined everything it touched. The chocolate itself didn't not taste very nice, perhaps it may not have been good quality chocolate? It had a bland taste and was overly sweet. The waffle itself lacked flavour and texture. The mousse and crumble were well made and had good texture but the dish overall had too many contrasting flavours. As for the coffee, just average. The milk in the latte had nice sweetness but with a strong grassy flavour that was pretty unpleasant. The long black had a bit of roastiness and unpleasant acidity, although when cooled down it got sweeter and the acidity had mellowed out. The second half of our stay the servers were more relaxed and seem more like they enjoyed being there, not sure what happened but would have been a better experience of they had the same attitude when we walked in. All in all with that experience I would not come back. I know they have the ability to do better but I wouldn't take a chance going back there. I hope they improve and do well as they definitely have the potential.

My partner and I held our wedding celebration in December last year at AU79 in Abbotsford, and absolutely loved everything about this venue. We held our ceremony in the front room and reception in the large space out the back. We had around 90 people attend with a sit-down dinner service which was towards the limit of capacity but still had room in front of the bar for a dance floor. The aesthetic is stunning, we added bare minimal decorations or flowers etc. as the plants and industrial look speaks for itself. This was one of the main reasons that we chose AU79 as it is so beautiful! This also saved us money as well. The 3-course dinner was delicious and there were lots of options to choose from, including for a cocktail event, for a 5-course dinner or for an optional oyster bar! The drinks were high quality and bar staff very approachable. The brick wall down the side is amazing for photos as well! Do note that if you have your ceremony here the earliest start time is 6pm as the cafe runs as usual during the day. Julia the events coordinator was extremely helpful, flexible and friendly through-out. Thank you so much Julia for everything - we really appreciated it! We couldn't have been happier with how our night went - highly highly recommend AU79 for both an event or for a delicious coffee :)

Gold indeed! Feast for your eyes while you feed your belly. So impressed by how beautiful this place is, it's like an indoor garden and very Instagramable. As it wasn't peak hour, the guy at the door greeting all guests was very happy to have a chat and tell me about the mouth-opening decor. Transformed by Mim Design, the stained cement floors is complemented by Italian furniture and ornamental rings made in Russia. It has a bakery and roastery in the middle section, producing fresh pastries and brews in house. Seating 200, the place collects a string of awards for its modern design and creative dishes using seasonal produce. With too many tempting choices, the helpful and friendly staff made some recommendations and left me to consider. The Hiramasa Kingfish exceeded my expectations. Much too pretty to eat, the slices of Kingfish with avocado cream, daikon, pickled ginger, yuzu, nashi pear and puff rice were aestheticaly arranged. Each ingredient was unique in taste and texture but also harmonised with the others. My taste buds were in foodie haven. The turmeric latte with almond milk has a bit of a kick - spicy but creamy. I can't say enough great things about this place except it's worth bringing family and friends here for the experience.

I had been so keen to check out this place when it opened, I was following the build and fitout on their instagram and the interior design certainly lived up to the photos when we came in shortly after 12. We were sat in one of the booths and given menu's and a coffee order taken within minutes from the fantastic wait staff and were sipping our amazing coffees when our order was taken. Unfortunately we waited and waited for our 2 meals to come which never eventuated. Our waitress was on to it and came over, without our needing to ask, to let us know that she was aware we were still waiting for our food. Yet coming up to 45 minutes after we had ordered and watching other tables next to us who had come in well after we had receiving their food it was getting a bit ridiculous and was quite apparent we were not going to be enjoying our food any time soon after I had checked with a waiter. We got up to let them know to just cancel the order and the manager told us not to worry about paying for the drinks, which was appreciated although there was no attempt at an explanation as to what had happened. We left caffeinated but hungry. What was a promising experience I had been looking forward to was unfortunately rather a disappointment.
