For whom love indonesian hot chilli spicy grilled dishes.. they also serve soup dishes like meatball, yellow chicken or brown beef soup.. Return visit on Mar 2022. Still a lovely place to come and eat in this restaurant. Ordered the authentic smashed empal and bakso soup, and ice cendol. Very lovely as it band aids the longing to our indonesian food. Return visit on July 2022. But we went here in between too 😁. Ordered empal penyet, bakso, gado gado to satisfy our hunger at dinner time post swimming. And of course we need special ketchup, sweet soy sauce ketchup. Like this indo restaurant cos it serves authentic indo food. The flavour and taste and texture of foods were great. Two thumbs up for this restaurant. Return visit June 2024. Ordered black soup, yellow soup, batagor for takeaway. Still have this hype from eating meals from this restaurant. The taste is wonderful and fullfilling the crave for Indonesian Food, eventhough none of Indonesian Foods in Australia would be authenthic. Totally...
Read moreWas craving Indonesian fried chicken with kremes and seeing the name of restaurant and small menu, I thought you can’t go wrong. While generally it is a generous portion of rice and chicken, I can’t say flavour was perfect. On the outside of chicken was marinaded well, but inside pretty much no taste. Kremes also more towards blend. This makes me sad, it’s nothing compared to back home. I had sambal terasi thinking that’s my favourite type of sambal, whilst it was really really hot, I cant say it’s the tastiest sambal I have had. And there were quite a few drinks and food they sold out, wanted the beef rissoles but they were out and had to get chicken ones instead. It was just ok, I wouldn’t get it again. Soto was ok. In general I expected more of this place. Had coconut juice which was ok and es cincau which the drink itself reminds me of a familiar taste of drink but can’t...
Read moreWe are regular customer to South Melb store However since they open Noble Park store- we came to this shop instead since closer to home. Have you changed recipe or chef? Ayam Penyet - the chicken is tasteless (Do you even marinade your chicken?) and your chili is disappointing. We only can taste "spicy" - nothing else. We also found inconsistency in your cooking. Sometimes taste nice, sometimes not.. If it's your lucky day, you get good food. Price is reasonable However i can see size is getting smaller and less sambal chili served too. Also with your drink (cendol with Durian - costs me $6.5) - i will be lucky i'm getting one full table spoon of cendol and decent amount of durian in a drink. yes, A lot of crush ice.. definitely...
