I ordered food -Vegetarian- beef off the vegetarian menu in person on a Thursday night. Last customer prior to closing. I get home and shower and change then start to eat my take away Vege beef pho soup. After 3 bites I realised this didn't taste like vege beef. I put down my fork and reach under the noodles and pulled out beef on the bone. They were closed. It was 11 at night. I was in the middle of moving snd next day could not make it back as had work and moving to do. I came in the day after. The owner abused me!!! Told me I should have called tge next day and too late now!!! I had the meal with me. He never apologised to me and refused refund.He became aggressive snd lectured me -a 46 year old adult who spent there money. I called police. He lied when they arrived and said he was trying to give me my money but, I wouldn't let him talk!!! I have him on camera refusing to refund me. Many witnesses seen this n told him to refund me. In the end, 2 Morris guys showed up and said they would pay me n then told me its just food and tolerate! I was waiting for police n they got out there car n attacked me. The owner had it on camera and lied to police saying he didn't see it. All this happened due to him. He was laughing at me and giving me orders. I got angry snd said things I shouldn't have to make him angry as he got me attacked at this stage, he has me on camera looking terrible now. He was laughing n smiling at me the entire time. I got sick from the beef as I have Crohns disease and not used to meat after 20 years. I was a member if society returning beef I had been served by him as a vegetarian with my time and petrol. It lead to my being attacked and him getting a reaction out of me. He was treating me like a junkie as I'm Australian and he was racist and he knows it. I reacted to him in kind snd he's recorded this and now I seem like a creep when not my real thoughts st all n was reacring to him after an hour of mind games. Would not recommend eating here. The food was below average.

We decided to eat here again as we are locals. We've eaten here before and weren't impressed, but decided to give it another chance.

We ordered the Seafood Fried Rice and the Combination Meat and Veggies with Rice. Both dishes came out relatively quick but we're lacking in flavour. The portion sizes were also incredibly small, we ended up leaving hungry still. The rice portion was served on a small side plate with the hot bowl still used to shape the rice still covering it. The bowl was too hot to remove on first touch and honestly strange that it was presented this way.

We did also order a side of chicken spring rolls. Admittedly, these were flavoursome and cooked well, however, fairly standard amongst the many Vietnamese restaurants we visited.

While we're glad the restaurant is still operating after COVID, we're surprised the restaurant lasted.

Be warned, there is no EFTPOS - only cash or bank transfer, another strange practice used. Most restaurants that are cash only tend to give me the impression that there are some dodgy tax evasion practices in place - didn't appreciate the lack of EFTPOS option at all.

Tried to have a lunch date with my husband, but was sadly disappointed. Maybe something got lost on translation but we ordered pho and fried rice and I think we received neither. There was just chicken bones in the soup, no edible chicken and the broth was unsavoury. It was around $20 and I couldn't actually force myself to eat it, nor could my husband. $20 for bean shoots, noodles and chicken bones. My husband was served plain rice and meat.

We told the restaurant about the food (mine remained virtually untouched) and she shrugged and took full payment. Won't be back. I never leave bad reviews, but this experience really soured my day. I'm still hungry and sad. I understand things being lost in translation but the restaurant could improve customer service.

Edit: in relation to the owner's comment below, I may have got the price incorrect by a few dollars but it was definitely this restaurant. The reply isn't very welcoming or apologetic so I won't be back. I hope other people have a...
