Just visited Azeemah in Brunswick for their soft opening, and I was genuinely impressed. Everything is halal. lahme bi ajeeneh dumplings were a delightful surprise, flavorful and quite genius. The pomegranate lamb shank was my favourite, it was tender and rich, paired perfectly with a luscious mash. We also had the maqloobeh which tasted so homely and the mocktails were refreshing.
It was a really pretty lookong place, with the atmosphere being warm and inviting.
Meeting the chef was a highlight, she so welcoming and passionate about the food and the staff were friendly.
Apparently, Azeemah is a part of a charitable women's hub supporting women, so was happy to dine here as it meant not only enjoying delicious Palestinian fusion cuisine, but to also help supporting a meaningful cause.

The owner and staff are lovely and make you feel like you are in their home. Open to honest feedback and want to ensure that you walk out satisfied. The food was an incredible Palestinian fusion meal. If you like eating with your hands and enjoy authentic meals like your mama made - this is the place for you! Portions are generous and we definitely could not eat it all. They happily give you containers to take home what you can’t finish. Will definitely be back for more❤️ We enjoyed this experience so much we forgot to take pictures of...
Read moreFound out about the restaurant through First Table and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is Palestinian owned and has a delicious spread of food. While I’ve had other Middle Eastern cuisine, Lebanese and Israeli, this was a first and I was very impressed. The fish dish had a lovely sauce and the main rice dish with chicken and eggplant and yoghurt was also delicious and paired well with the mandarin salad. I definitely recommend pairing with a salad and the dessert drink made from orchid root was very unique.
The restaurant also makes a conscientious effort to provide training opportunities for vulnerable recent migrants and women.
