Shocking customer service!! I just walked along Nepean hwy and there were people every where.. and dogs also. I had my 4kg 9 year old chihuahua in my arms and wanted to get a couple of takeaway coffees, I certainly wasn’t going to leave her tied up outside. One bite from a big dog to my little darling would be devastating so I popped in the door with her in my arms to quickly order and pay for two coffees when an older woman from behind the counter put up her had in a stop motion and rudely said no I will come to you outside. I was mortified by her rude approach and continued walking to Captains of Rye whom always greet me nicely and made me two beautiful lattes. Decent burgers, nice atmosphere, but annoying menu. Their burgers taste as good as all the other gourmet burger joints, but for some reason all their burgers come with chips???

If I want chips, I can buy chips separately or make it a meal like every other burger joint. I think the only reason the burgers come with chips is so that they have an excuse to charge $20+ for a burger that would elsewhere cost ~$18. I hate wasting food and I had to throw my serving of chips out, leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth (metaphorically speaking).

If the owner has a good reason why all burgers come with chips I will change this review, because the burgers are still good and the place is nice enough. But as it stands I am annoyed. Sorry for the...

The food is quite good. The chips were probably on par with many of the fish and chips stores in the area, but the quality of the ingredients are wonderful suppussing many others close by. I do however worry that due to their very small menu of very common dishes that they might go unnoticed and share the same fate as many of the other restaurants that attempt to start down here.

As someone who has lived down here their entire life, the stores that have managed to stay open the longest are those who can keep up with the mania that is summer but also build a reliable customer base of the local residence.

Give something new a go with your menu now and then and make sure to keep those regular customer...
