Couldn’t miss the store with all the little pink ladies stuck over the window. Came for some rolls and something sweet for afternoon tea. Staff are helpful. Quick and efficient. You could easily access this store if in a wheelchair. Or if you have a pram or stroller. Good parking in the street but I can get busy. Not far from the stunning beach area of Williamstown.

Ordered an Apple and Walnut log. Didn't receive it. Ordered a sourdough loaf and received a white loaf. Called the store. Assistant blamed the Uber driver. No accountability taken. No initiative. No problem solving capability. Very disappointing.

Went in on Tuesday morning to buy 50 bread rolls for a work lunch. I was met with frustration that I had not preordered. This particular member of staff first said she would have to check with the boss and but then proceeded to serve me anyway. During the exchange she spent the entire time shaking her head at me reiterating ‘it wasn’t right’. I said I was happy to go across the road to Coles instead of supporting a local independent business. Instead listening to what I said, the second member of staff also chimed in frowning at me said that it was ‘like half of their stock for the day’ At this point I said, a sale is a sale and left to go to Coles.

There was plenty of stock mind you, 8 bags merely made a dint in the wall of prepackaged rolls. I wasn’t fussy which rolls and said a mix was fine.

I hope this wasn’t the view of the franchisee who has now potentially lost a bunch of local patronage as 50 local office workers heard all about it.

The Coles ones were still hot and much cheaper anyway. Just a shame that I made an effort to support local, and instead was pushed out the door...

I have previously really appreciatd the quality control at this Baker's Delight. But I was in there today and sold a Cheesymite that was burnt. It was rock hard and the cheese burnt. I returned it as it was for my toddler who wouldn't have been able to chew it as it was so tough. Sales assistant told me it was the Vegemite. I explained that it wasn't, gave him the roll to feel how hard it was. I pointed out others that weren't burnt. Yet his response was 'I hate to tell you this, but that's just Vegemite'. It wasn't. I used to work in a Baker's Delight. I am not here to be patronised. I let him keep the scroll but won't...
