We’ve been really impressed with the pizzas in the past but our last two experiences were below average. First one was approx 2 weeks ago and again last night. Both times the food has been delivered 30mins after the expected delivery time making the wait well over an hour for delivery. The pizzas arrived soggy and cold. The first time it happened we could tell our pizzas sat waiting for someone else’s delivery to be completed before delivering together as he left the wrong delivery at our doorstep (super hot and fresh) and I notified him of the mistake, he packed it back up and went back to the car and got our cold pizzas. So cold I had to microwave. I gave them a second chance thinking it may be a once off experience but last night, long delay and no one answering the phone when we rang to enquire (just a full message bank). Soggy and lukewarm pizzas again. Might be a long while before we give this place a go again especially considering the price you pay.. disappointing as we love supporting local business in...
Read moreWe recently had dinner here as a group of six and were the first to arrive when the restaurant opened. We ordered six pizzas, which were served sporadically over 15 minutes—except for mine.
I found it odd when the young waitress asked if everything was okay while I was clearly the only one without a pizza. When I politely inquired about mine, she checked with the kitchen and discovered that it had somehow been lost. This wasn’t the fault of the service staff, as they had verified the order, so something must have gone wrong in the kitchen—especially surprising since we were the only diners at the time.
To their credit, they offered me a free drink, but by then, the rest of my group had already finished eating, leaving me to wait alone. While the pizza itself was quite good, the overall experience was frustrating. Management should consider additional training for the waitstaff and possibly review their order-handling process to prevent similar issues...
Read moreI can only speak about the pizza made here as I never had anything else. Italian owner there and Italian writing here. So, the pizza is the classic tasty "pizza alla pala" that you can find at almost every corner in Rome. Quite different from the Neapolitan style, the pizza alla pala is generally lighter and a bit crispier. It would have been a 4 or 5 stars but some troubles during the ordering part and some excess of pride from the owner ruined the otherwise pleasant experience (and the night out). Recommended only if you're willing to accept some mistakes and some obvious poker face display from the owner, at your expense. I personally don't need to travel all the way from the CBD to Williams Town just to find good pizza and definitely don't deserve any prideful Italian fake excuses. I've heard enough during my 39 years spent in my home Country so I can easily avoid visiting this...
