I have dined here a number of times and despite the terrible service and squalid conditions, the food used to be very very good. Let me give you a breakdown of what to expect. For $50 a head buffet, as you enter, no one greets you, no smiles and look at you almost as if they don’t want you there. There is a strange smell, the place looks dilapidated and dirty. I visited, March/April 2025 during the Ramadan buffet and had one of the worst food experiences in recent history. Their lack of standards began to show with all the food tasting old, almost as if it cooked from the previous day. The food was very very chilli and was drowned in so much oil, I was expecting the US to invade at any moment. The excess oil and chilli was probably used to try freshening the old smelly food from previous days. There were only a few buffet dishes out of which when I tried tucking in to a nice lamb or chicken spinach, it turned out to be cheese 😕. They had some atrocities for dessert including some custard something (yes “Pakistani” dessert ffs), some halwa (which was overly sweet) and some other rubbish I can’t remember. The pakoras were far too crunchy, all flour and not much else, nothing tasted good, fresh or authentic. The only redeeming factor was the fish bites which tasted delicious but still didn’t taste fresh. There was literally no fruit whatsoever, very limited starters and main dishes, terrible desserts (3 of them) and only water and one red coloured rose drink which didn’t really taste that good. I ordered mango lassi and it arrived warm 😂😂😂. It’s almost as this is a parody version of a Pakistani restaurant. Everyone that dined with me was sick the following day. The toilets were like sewers where you’re afraid to touch anything and even the wooden floor upon entering was sticky to walk on. Like how long has it been since it was last cleaned? The boss will probably respond to this comment claiming I am a competitor or mistaken now. To summarise, if you want an overall terrible experience with awful food, please visit this place. If you want good Pakistani food, visit Ziyka or even khabbay on lygon st. Please don’t go here, it is like Indian street food as in unhygienic and making you sick, without the authenticity or taste. All they need to do is improve their standards.

Visited with my overseas family today after having some experience last time. To my surprise, food tasted very average today.I convinced my parents to come and dine with us but we were left embarrassed and disappointed after finding hair in kebab platter and strand of steel wool in chicken briyani. I took the plate straight to the staff and she took the plate to kitchen.I started eating from my husband’s plate out of embarrassment in front of my parents. Then staff told me they will change the briyani plate and bring kebabs again.I don’t want to be rude so I agreed.Few minutes later staff had no clue what’s going on with my kebab order. I paid $81.98 full bill to get( takeaway briyani and kebab )which was meant to be dine in family dinner. I spoke to the manager of the place too and expressed my concern of being served steel wool and hair strand in briyani and how disappointed i felt in front of my family. But guess what ,the front staff was like so you ordered this ,this ,this ,your total bill is $81.98 lol..what a great experience and customer service. Will never recommend this place anymore.Sorry guys!! i felt cheated today.I am afraid to eat even the takeaway briyani as I don’t know if same utensils was used to cook the entire briyani for the day.

The food was very very good! Aside from the food (which tasted home cooked), even the mint chutney and mango lassi was perfect. The steamed rice was mediocre but the portion was very large and it complimented the rest of the food well. The issues I had though were with the cleanliness of the place (Tullamarine branch). The toilets were like the type of place you don’t want to touch with your bare skin, the windows were dirty and even in the main hall, there were bits and crumbs on the carpets and dirty looking old decor. There was no ambient music of any kind which gave it a more weird vibe. The staff appeared a bit demure, not bad but really could have made more of an effort to be welcoming. All that aside though, the best butter chicken I’ve ever tasted in Australia! The meat spinach was absolutely delicious and moreish. The only thing I didn’t like was the malai boti (I think). There was nothing wrong with it but I prefer my food spicy and tried someone else’s portion. I wish they’d give the place a really thorough clean and a fresh coat of paint on the walls. I may go again as it’s almost impossible to get such good and authentic tasting food but Ziyka in Lygon street may be a cleaner option.

I wanted to give ZERO STAR if available. FOOD AND SERVICE was TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL HOW TO SERVE CUSTOMERS. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS PLACE for Parties or dinner. Recently we had our son’s 3rd birthday party at AZOOBA BAR-B-Q lounge. we booked because I attended couple of parties there and that time food and service was great but that time it was under different owner. (NOW IT IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE). We were so excited because his first and second birthday we couldn’t celebrate because of lockdown. Gathering was around 90 people. We booked it over a month before the party , selected Menu items paid deposit as they quoted the price so we can get perfect Food and service. What we see on the day our Guests started arriving and FOOD BUFFET TRAYS WERE EMPTY, they supposed to be filled up by 6 or 6:15 the latest. we told them to serve food and they asked us to give them another 10-15 minutes so they can make it ready. ENTREES supposed to start at 6pm but they started bringing FOOD at 6:40pm. And they were bringing in little portions like enough for only 3-4 people. There were No labels for buffet food. Moreover I got so frustrated when I saw they were serving seekh chicken kebab and dahi bhalla that we NEVER SELECTED for our ENTRÉE. We selected VEGE MANCHURIAN but they made it with paneer cubes and tomato sauce. I can COOK MUCH BETTER FISH PAKORA (fried fish) AT HOME THAN THEIR CHEFS. MAINS- IT WAS 8:30 and their MAINS WERE NOT READY, when they served palak paneer , naans were just time pass. they don’t know how to make dessert we selected (gazrella , they made it only with carrots and suger.they didn’t add any almonds or cashews or other dry nuts.) People were waiting in queue to have food and BUFFET TRAYS WERE NOT FILLED UP on time. THERE WERE ONLY 2 WAITRESS And THEY did not care at all. They didn’t want to bring cake to the cake stand because they said it can fell off so I had to bring it unpacked it and put it on cake stand in front of the guests. FOOD AND SERVICE WAS POOR OF THE POOREST. We felt soooo embarrassed. We are NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN for PARTY OR DINE IN. They have ruined everything with their WORST SERVICE AND FOOD. We could not enjoy at all although we spend lot on decorations, dj’s and...

DON'T TRY THE ALCOHOL DRINKS HERE. It appears completely adulterated, I mean it looks like it's pre-mixed with water and tastes nothing like a real drink. The bartender also doesn't measure your drink correctly and rips you off. She doesn't pour full 30 ml from the measuring cup. Just go for some average taste food that's all. Never stepping in again here.

UPDATE REVIEW:

Thanks for your reply Mr.Owner. I would like to clarify so that you know the reason behind my frustration.

Me and 2 of my friends were at the bar counter and ordered 60 ml of Old Monk. The bartender used a measuring cup for 30ml, but did not pour the rum in the measuring cup upto it's brim. In other words, about 75 percent of the measuring cup was only filled with rum and she did it 2 times. So that means about less than 50 ml of rum was only poured. When I confronted her asking why she did not fill the measuring cup full (30ml) 2 times to make it 60 ml, she said she poured it 3 times and made sure it is 60 ml. Why would anyone do that? Why would anyone pour it 3 times filling 75 percent of the cup instead of pouring full 2 times to keep things simple. She did not pour it 3 times and just assumed we would not notice that she did not pour it to the brim of the measuring cup.

I agree that feedback is essential and I tried giving a feedback to the bartender right there. She said she can't keep CCTV around her to prove that. Well, that was pretty rude. She could have simply poured the drink back to the bottle OR keep that aside and re-pour the drink to make the customer happy. She could have simply avoided this by just pouring us a new drink to a glass as our drink was still neat i.e. not mixed with Ice or coke or anything.

So I tried giving a feedback right there but it wasn't received well. My other avenue to give a review was through this and I...
