What has happened to Sheesh Grill? Food, service all down hill and prices up? Either there has been a change of management/owners or the staff have not been trained properly - but something has gone very wrong.
To start with let me say I have been frequently coming here for over 6 years now and this has been one of my favourite arabic food places. I drive 30 mins to get food from here even though there are a lot of arabic/lebanese/turkish food places next to my house.
However the last three time I've had food here (both pickup and dine in) has been disappointing. Most recently I ordered the falafel which did not taste (or smell) good and were very dense and inedible. The quality and taste of meat (especially kofta) is not the same. Someone has changed something, recipe or ingredients or is not making these properly. The kafta I ordered recently was partially burnt and the second skewer looked like someone has cooked it with extreme disregard as it was all broken and chunks of it missing. The fatoush was very oily, someone had messed up the oil ratio in the dressing. The portions sizes have also reduced, less rice, less chips and teeny tiny dips, however with the ~25% increase in prices one expects to at least have the same sized items. The meat in the rice was not really hot (just lukewarm like it had been kept out for a while) and the sambousek were dry as...
This has been my 3rd experience over the last 3 months, and it's again been a very...

The ambiance is lovely and welcoming, with a spacious dining area that’s perfect for families and families with kids. They serve classic lamb and chicken shawarma, fresh dips, and a few delicious desserts—all at very reasonable prices, which is amazing in today’s climate. The portions are super generous too!
We tried Platter for 2 Shawarma plate Chargrilled chicken wrap Hummus, Batata, Fatoush Salad and a lot more
The owner was so kind and friendly from the moment we stepped in, and the staff were just as warm. We ordered the lamb and chicken shawarma both incredibly tasty and authentic. The houmous, tabouli, falafel, and batata were fresh and full of flavour. Honestly, everything we tried was delicious. My kids loved the Chargrilled chicken wrap with a side of Fries. Highly recommend if you’re after proper, hearty Middle Eastern food in a clean, family-friendly setting. We’ll definitely be back! Big thank you to the lovely owner and team at sheeshgrill for making us feel so welcome. . Don’t miss the Middle Eastern desserts they’re super...
Read moreSheesh, once a beacon of five-star dining, has recently transitioned into a more fast-paced establishment. While the shift in service speed and subtle change in culinary finesse have nudged my rating down to four stars, it remains a solid option for those seeking a quick and satisfactory meal. The food, although not quite reaching its previous lofty heights, is still enjoyable and hits the mark for a fulfilling dining experience. The restaurant's atmosphere ebbs and flows with its busyness, offering a lively vibe during peak hours and a more relaxed ambiance when quieter. A consistent plus is the ample parking, a convenience that eases the dining experience. Overall, Sheesh stands as a recommendable choice for those in search of quality food served promptly, set in an adaptable environment, and with the convenience of...
