I am so sad to be writing this. It pains me honestly as I originally had left a 5 star review and was super pleased. Today I leave frustrated and dissapointed from start to finish. From the moment we walked in we were not greeted or seated we had to line up in the coffee line to get someone’s attention. Then to be told “oh I haven’t checked reservations yet just sit at the back” Once seated we waited a little too long to order and watched staff walk around, clean tables etc. Order was made simple. One dish was Benedict on rosti. When it arrived it was missing the ham hock. When asked the server asked multiple people and then came back with the answer “it doesn’t come with it” even after I had him actually read the menu that states it does as well as your Instagram “plate the dish” video showing step by step the missing item. After much back an forth over ham hock, the waiter comes back a while later and says “they ran out and didn’t tell us but we have some now” and asked if I wanted it. I said no I’ll just eat and he brought out a side plate of ham hock anyway. After all the back and forth our meals had gone cold. Hubbys coffee was bitter and burnt in taste, we loved the coffee here, what happened? As a new mum who doesn’t get the opportunity to get out often anymore this experience really dissapointed me as it was exciting to return to a cafe I had previously enjoyed and even shown to friends. Ignored, incorrect food, lack of communication accross staff and a sour taste in our mouth. We were not compensated or offered an apology or even asked “how was everything” when paying like we had previously. We won’t be returning or recommending this...

Been thinking if I should write this or not but I decided I should. Visited this place as I saw Instagram was advertising a lot about and honestly the food and ambiance looked good. Got there at 12 pm and the place was busy - packed but didn’t see any lists or people waiting. We saw a table and a young staff approached us asking if we were waiting I said we want a table for 2 and so she said she would clean the table and we could have it - again not a single person waiting around or any waiting lists - which is a Melbourne Brunch place must haves. At this stage a angry looking man approaches us and no acknowledgment or greeting just barks that apparently this table has been reserved and food wait anyway is 30 Mins and table wait is 20 mins - there were big tables outside that could easily be used as communal tables - but what surprised me was not even offering us to get some coffees till we wait and he can see what he can do. Everyone complains about Melbourne hospitality places are struggling due to cancelling table and staff and rising food cost - but if you have managers / list people who don’t know how to talk to People - I think there is a different and much bigger problem !!!! Hope the owners and concerned people read this and actually reflect as I am sure this has happened to many people only few like me would report this. good Luck 9th Avenue but you lost 2...

I wasn't going to write this review as I like to pop into The Ninth Ave when I'm in the area on a Saturday as they serve my favourite coffee blend from Roasting Warehouse. Today, I had a day off for a hospital appointment and thought I'd go out of my way to get a bite to eat and grab a coffee. I asked for a takeaway coffee and an english muffin with just cheese egg and tomato as I couldn't see in the cabinet without bacon. Upon getting back to my car I noticed there was bacon in the muffin, I took it back and said ' sorry to be a pain, but there is bacon in this' the response I got was an eyeroll and a 'I thought you said you wanted to add it in' no sorry, no let me get you a fresh one made up. It wasn't busy. It was after 9am on a Thursday morning. I was then asked they could just take the bacon out of the one in the cabinet and add the tomato. If that wasn't an issue, I would have taken the bacon out myself when I was in the car and happily driven off. Mortified and ultimately losing trust in the people making my food, I asked for a refund. THEN, I was told they could make me a new one. It's upsetting that I need to write this here. As I said before, I enjoyed coming into the cafe to grab a coffee, but this experience has left a sour taste...

@The Ninth Ave is an all day breakfast and lunch cafe located just off Mickleham Road in Westmeadows (just a 5 minute drive from Melbourne Airport!) 🍳 What was once a humble old factory is now a huge, bright dining space, indoor and outdoor. Every time ive visited, weekday or weekend, its been busy! The menu is your classic breakfast favourites, with a little delicious twist and coffee is from @roastingwarehouse. ☕️ ⭐️ Bao - amazing! I wouldn’t usually order bao for brunch but here i am. The side of fries needed seasoning. ⭐️ Ham Hock Benedict - their signature dish for a reason! The ham hock is so good, on the saltier side (i’m a feind for salt anyway). That rosti is incredible with herbs throughout! ⭐️ Breaky Board - if i see one of these on the menu there is no doubt im getting it. Perfect for the indecisive, or the ones that get FOMO. A bit of this and that, you will be full! ✔️ Mont Blanc ⭐️ Breakfast Smoothie - peanut butter and banana is such a goated combo! I would come past just for this! Run by the loveliest team, the food has been consistently great over the years we have visited! Definitely pop this hidden gem on your list for the north-west. 💎 ⭐️ 4.5/5 💰 $$

The Ninth Ave hosted our sons 1st Birthday party and it was a complete success. The venue was amazing, an expansive indoor and outdoor space with flexibility as to how we could use each space. We were provided with marquees, jumping castles, soft play equipment and more. Very family friendly! The food was absolutely fantastic as well, a wide and varied menu but the highlight was the fantastic grazing table. The best part about Ninth Ave is the staff, every single staff member is so friendly and helpful. Ready to aid at any moment and throughout our whole experience they went above and beyond. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend for anyone hoping to host an event here. The vibe is amazing!

Just had brunch here, had seen pictures of it on instagram and had to come and try it. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful and welcoming, also big and was busy when we came in at 11am on a Saturday ofcourse. Service is good the staff all acknowledged us when we were waiting to be seated and then served us well after seated too. We were told it was a 30 min wait for food which was worth the wait when our food arrived. Was all delicious and fresh ingredients. Would definitely come back here again.
