Bill & Ellie's — Restaurant in Melbourne

Delicate and subtle is not how you would usually describe pizza, how ever it is so refreshing to experience a different style of pizza where the focus is on quality and careful balance of flavours unlike all other spots.

Came on a Friday night and it was absolutely pumping. Waited a little long for the pizzas but was definitely worth the wait!

Margherita 🍕 - 4/5 That perfect airy dough coupled with the cheese 👌! Delicious. To be critical, from our end we would have like some basil or something to provide something refreshing with each bite. Definitely a must try though.

Terra Truffle pizza 🍕 - 5/5 This is the best truffle pizza we've ever had. No overpowering flavours from being drowned in cheap truffle oil here. Flavours so light and balanced. Our favourite pizza of the night.

Quattro Formaggi pizza 🍕 - 5/5 Again, don't know what the secret it is but it was well balanced you could honestly taste each type of cheese. The Gorgonzola was so well spaced and portioned that it certainly did not over power the other cheeses.

Garlic and cheese foccacia - 4/5 That perfect dough with a good amount of flavour from the garlic. Could have done with a smidge more cheese as we had a few slices with no toppings but we would definitely get this again.

Nutella Calzone 🥐 - 5/5 If you like Nutella, this is definitely a must try. There honestly is nothing special about the Nutella, but when paired with that amazing dough it honestly turns this into one of the best we've had in Melbourne!

I HAD to update my review to tell you that I just had one of the best pizzas of my life.

It’s their Sesame Sizzle (pictured) with hot honey, caramelised onion, spicy nduja, ricotta and black sesame seeds 😭🙏 it’s incredible. Trust.

How have I never written a review for Bill & Ellie's?! 🍕

I'm not overhyping it when I say it ruined other pizzas for me haha. I tell everyone to try Bill & Ellie's and when they do, they always come back and thank me for the recommendation because they agree that it's insanely good.

We first tried it on Uber Eats and it was terrific, but trust me when I say that you'll want to go in to ✨ try it fresh ✨ and meet Bill & Ellie themselves, the lovely siblings that run this place with their equally lovely parents. Their hospitality and friendliness makes the dining in experience all the more better.

Favourites: Garlic & Prawn (just TRUST in this!) Potato Pizza Proscuitto But also all the other pizzas Nutella Must try: The Epsa Greek sodas! Blood orange and Lemon is so good!

I'm excited for everything they've got planned because I'm certain it will be phenomenal.

Seen this spot all over socials and finally dropped in while working nearby. Straight away you get that family-run, homely feel — friendly, welcoming, and proud of what they do.

Tried the Bill & Ellie ($28) and the Pepperoni (added olives $3) ($23). Both pizzas were super balanced — light, not greasy, and with a base cooked just right. The Bill & Ellie had a touch of truffle oil (faint enough not to overpower) layered with cheese and toppings that worked together really cleanly. The Pepperoni was a classic done right: thin, evenly spread slices with just the right kick of saltiness and spice against the fresh base.

What I loved here was the simplicity done well. No unnecessary extras, just carefully made pizzas where the dough, toppings, and balance speak for themselves. Easy to eat, slice after slice, without feeling heavy.

Not somewhere I’d drive across town just for, but if I’m in the area I’d be happy to come back. Big thanks to Bill for personally recommending his namesake pizza — lived up to...
