After eating the chips, my oesophagus feels like its lined with oil. They told me their eftpos machine is broken and it’s cash only. It doesn’t seem like a happy work environment, their teenage staff member who works there at night answering the phone looks frightened to be there. Today, was the final straw. Ordered $5 worth of chips and a small tray of mixed meat. Was charged $19. If you do the math, we were charged $14 for the tiniest tray of meat (which tastes dry and average). Went back and complained about it. Was barked at ‘we marinate the meat’ and ‘meat is expensive’ then they went back to cooking and ignored me. The chips at Bill's in Emerald are nothing short of amazing!! Anytime I visit the area, picking up chips, a dim sim and lamb souvlaki is a must.

The chips are handcut and cooked to perfection in a way that you just can't find anymore. The chicken salt is perfect and the quality of the lamb in the souvlaki is second to none. You can see the huge pieces of quality meat they put onto the gyros, not minced or processed cheap lamb!

If you are in Emerald you simply have to check this place out, the staff and vibe is just so friendly and welcoming, George, Michael and Marco and give you that genuine family-run feel that is harder and harder to come by!

Awesome little gem tucked away at the end of the shopping strip. One of the best souvlaki I have ever tasted, and my back ground is greek, so that's saying something. The shop was super busy, they were organised, and able to accommodate my food allergy also. The older ethnic man was polite, and made my order super fast, lovely smile, was friendly, warm fuzzys. One star off for the lady, who was abrupt and serving the next customer before she had finished serving the last, cold pricklies.
