BLACK SALT KITCHEN — Restaurant in Melbourne

Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of dining at “Black Salt Kitchen” Am I a local? Yes! Do I support local? Yes! Do I give reviews? Not often lol I have to say this is exactly what our little hood needs! For far too long we have been spoilt for choice when in comes to cafes in the area. Now we are thirsty for some nighttime good eats! The service was beautiful (my daughter said she wanted to adopt this place) The food was plentiful and so tasty!(totally looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow) The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and made us feel super special) Do yourself an absolute favour and book yourself and your loved ones a table you will not be disappointed ❤️❤️ Ps Thankyou so much to all of the staff for making it a special experience for me...

It was maybe just my experience but wrong order taken and then my partners meal came first mine later and then when I said it was wrong order they just added noodles but that wasn't the problem . The problem was the wrong prawns . So in the end my partner had finished and we had to go somewhere so I didn't bother . I think it was a case of too many waitresses serving same tables . They should have their own tables to serve so it doesn't get mixed up . Also restaurant was very cold and they said something was wrong with heater. I wasn't the only one who thought it was cold the couple next to us also thought so . However my partner's meal was lovely he said .He would return...

I ordered the “BSK Dream “ Which is meant to be a “sticky” black rice dessert with .. as the description says but what I got was completely different to the photo on the menu . I got flakey black rice ( not sticky ) with still frozen strawberries mixed together and served with ice scream and toasted coconut…… it was just unpleasant . the photo on the menu had fresh strawberries to garnished the dessert not still frozen and all mixed up with black rice 😭😭 I think it’s misleading . May I suggest in the future to change the name of the dessert and it’s description to what it truly is so customers have a better understanding of what they are ordering ....
