The perfect way to start the weekend! Upon entering the cafe we were greeted by Paula (one of the owners) who made us feel incredibly welcome. She went over the menu pointing out what was most popular and letting us know that we can swap out or substite with the meals for free which is a huge plus for a fussy eater. We started with a well made latte that came with a complimentry cookie (yum, shortbread!) and followed it up with The Hash. Paula let us know that their signature hash browns where actually vegan and boy was it amazing. Crunchy and golden, honestly the best we had ever had. The meal was a generous serving and very visually appearing. They were more than happy to stagger our meals so we had time to let that settle before the blueberry and ricotta pancakes came out. Holy moly, we are glad we had space. Talk about incredible. The flavours were so balanced, the rich creamyness of the ricotta (which was in the pancake too!) was complimented with the sweatness of the berries and the lemoncurd was the perfect tartness to round out the flavours. Danny (the other owner) and Paula checked on us serveral times throughout the meal as well as their other customers who all seemed to share our feeling of being right at home. It was a very kid friendly venue with pencils and crayons and lots of options for kids meals. The interior was modern and trendy without being intimidating and the small size of the venue was cosy not claustrophobic especially with the option to eat outside. Paula and Danny obviosuly love what they do and have created the perfect place for the community to go and enjoy not only a fantastic meal but good company as well. Would definitley reccomend and will be back soon to try more of their menu and maybe some fresh squeezed juice!

Absolutely loved our brunch at St. Derby, hands down a great experience from start to finish. We were thrilled to find that every item we ordered had a Halal option, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable for our group. The food was exceptional, the Traditional Pancakes were fluffy and golden, perfectly paired with fresh fruit and syrup. The Kids Pancakes were just the right size and absolutely devoured. The HASH Benny was a flavour-packed twist on a classic, and the St Derby Beans had such a rich, hearty depth that made it a standout. The Avo was fresh and vibrant, beautifully presented, and the Chilli Scramble had the perfect amount of heat to kick things up a notch. Drinks were spot on, the Cappuccinos and Lattes were smooth and strong, while the Hot Chocolates were rich and comforting. Service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed yet stylish, and the attention to dietary needs really set St. Derby apart. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming, delicious brunch spot that caters beautifully to Halal diners. We’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast @St.Derby Cafe. Eggs Benny: two poached eggs served on toasted English muffins with ham, topped with hollandaise sauce. Fantastic meal in a lovely cosy cafe with excellent service. Delicious and plentiful hollandaise sauce smothering perfectly poached eggs that ooze running yolks and have soft whites. Atop soft English muffins and ham for extra protein, this went down an absolute treat. I also got an optional hash brown. They're quite large, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. These are really tasty and definitely worth considering as an optional side. They're very moorish. #breakfast #cafe #eggsbenedict #ham #EnglishMuffins #hollandaise #poachedeggs #hashbrown #Foodie #melbournefood #pascoevale

I recently had the pleasure of dining at St. Derby in Pascoe Vale, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Paula, who provided exceptional customer service throughout my visit.

Paula's attention to detail, warm demeanor, and genuine care for the guests truly stood out. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. From offering insightful recommendations to promptly addressing any requests, Paula's dedication to providing excellent customer service was evident.

Not only did Paula make me feel welcome and valued as a guest, but she also demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu. Her passion for the culinary creations at St. Derby shone through as she described each dish with enthusiasm, making the decision-making process a breeze.

I truly appreciate the outstanding service that Paula provided, as it elevated my overall dining experience to new heights. Her professionalism and friendly nature are a testament to the high standards upheld by St. Derby.

Aside from Paula's exceptional customer service, the food at St. Derby was absolutely delightful. Every dish I tried was prepared to perfection, bursting with flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

I highly recommend St. Derby in Pascoe Vale to anyone looking for a remarkable culinary adventure. The combination of outstanding food and Paula's excellent customer service makes this place a true gem. I can't wait to return and indulge in their delicious...

Honestly had to come here after a friend of mine brought me a coffee and one of their fresh homemade hash browns. After that I just had to stay for lunch.

I ordered a long black and the haloumi burger to have for lunch. The total came to $20, which I was happy to pay, especially once I had my food. The portion size was more than reasonable for the price, and the quality was exceptional. The haloumi was delicious and the little baby pickles were fun. The burger as a whole was perhaps a little over-seasoned, but that's minor and almost to be expected as haloumi is quite salty. The chips were well seasoned and a good temperature. They would go well with the same relish that was used on the burger, rather than the regular tomato sauce provided. Again a minor complaint.

The coffee was served promptly and was also a good price. Good temperature and flavour.

The staff treat every customer like a regular, always with a smile and a very friendly attitude. I felt welcomed the moment I stepped in the door, and during my time here I saw that this was the rule, rather than an exception.

My experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in the area again. The prices are very fair, and service impeccable. The hash browns are also to die for, so go here just to try them, and then come back again for all the...
