I happened to find myself in Blackburn at 9:30 in a Thursday, and I thought it would be a smart idea to get take away instead of making my own food and getting to bed really late… so much for that idea. The service was so incredibly slow for us being one of the only people there. They had three workers so there was more than enough for them to cook our food in a timely matter. After 30 minutes and constantly seeing people come in and order after us and leave with their food before we even get our food, we thought we should go up and ask if they might’ve accidentally forgot our order as they looked to just be standing and talking to each other, and once we asked they said it’s gonna be 5 more minutes. We than watched the worked start making the food, clearly they forgot. So 10 more minutes later we finally get our food, and not one worker addressed how long the wait was, no apology, nothing, and it’s been 40 minutes at this point for just a pizza and burger with a shake.
Now for the food, we got the oiliest Margherita pizza ever, the first slice was good but then it was just so oily, it was dripping down my wrists. They also ran out of thickshake cups and gave my friend his thickshake in two coffee cups, which we had to ask for a straw too, as how the hell you gonna drink a thick shake through the takeaway coffee cup lid.
Anyway, 40 minutes of waiting for average food, and terrible service, ruined my whole night. Thanks Blackburn eatery, I hope you sleep on the cold side of the...
Read moreWe tried the Fire Eater, Lamb Trampoline, Cannon Ball Fries, a shake, and a Tetra Pack of OJ at this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as hot as the Fire Eater. The burgers were cold, the meat patties were cold, even the fries and grilled chicken chunks were chilly. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all during our visit on November 17th for lunch.
The owners, a husband and wife, were in the far corner, seemingly occupied.
The staff left much to be desired. We had to wave them down to get our drinks after waiting and eating half of our food. They seemed careless and impolite. When we asked for drinks, there was no sign of table service, and no one came to pick up our order from the counter. One of the girls working on the pizza seemed to have a smile, but the Indian girl appeared to be working reluctantly.
On the bright side, the concept of the restaurant is great with a lot of options, and they've made a good effort to create a pleasant atmosphere. However, the cold food and lackluster service left us with a...
Read moreThis place has so many options you won’t know which one to pick. Do you want fish and chips? What about a burger? What about pizza? What about nothing? You’ve fallen asleep cause you’re 4 menus deep and you’re not done yet.
But wait you’re awake again because you’ve put the slightest pressure on the table. And now you’re living through the biggest earthquake since christchurch.
But what about the food? The pizza is pizza. It might have a bunch of fancy ingredients, but it’s still pizza. The burger is so tall, unless you are an anaconda, you’re not tasting every ingredient in one bite. And the mozzarella sticks, are a bit nothing. Unless you like crunchy flavourless cheese.
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, prepare for awful drivers that honk their horn on the main road right next to you. Also the parking is limited and requires a level of self hatred.
They got beer though. So you can always dull your senses to where this seems above average. 2.5 if google ever opens up half ratings. Food 3/5 Service...
