🍱 Taiwanese deluxe value meal: Signature spicy dry noodles (with sauce) Deep fried Taiwanese tofu with salt and pepper Blossomy milk tea (with pearls) Salad 🍱 Japanese curry with chicken fillet bento ("today only" item)

Visited here for the first time to get some Taiwanese food. Based on past menus and reviews, I was hoping to order the Taiwanese beef noodle soup and Taiwanese stinky tofu, but unfortunately both items were no longer on the menu. What I did end up getting was still quite enjoyable.

The signature spicy dry noodles (招牌麻辣乾拌麵) was full of flavour. It was served with wide wavy noodles, i.e. packet versions of dao xiao mien and it was quite a pleasure to eat. I did wish there was a bit more protein though.

The deep fried Taiwanese tofu (炸百葉豆腐) was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salt and pepper seasoning was definitely authentically Asian.

The blossomy milk tea was better than I expected for a restaurant. I 'think' they used evaporated milk in it, to make the drink richer. The pearls had a bit of bite to it, though a part of me wished that it was softer.

My friend ordered the Japanese curry with chicken fillet bento and it was "quite nice". The deep fried elements were crunchy, though the potato croquette was a bit bland. One interesting thing was that most of the vegetables were buried under the protein, which was a weird way to serve a meal.

Overall, I think this is a good place to visit as a local, but I'm not sure if I'd travel across Melbourne for this place. The Taiwanese food I ordered felt like generic east Asian food, as opposed to authentic Taiwanese food so it might suit those of you...

Amazed by the quality of food that this humble cafe provides. Don't let this dime a dozen outside appearance elude you.

Ordered a few dishes and a drink and it was none less than an explosions of highlights in the experience.

The fried chicken is the best Taiwanese chicken tried so far in Melbourne. Exceptionally executed with airy and maximum crunchiness with juicy chicken inside. Braised pork rice is generously portioned than usual Taiwanese snack size. The pineapple shaped bun with butter is a perfect way to end the meal, with great pastry crunch and creamy and buttery fillings. Wintermelon tea is a nice meal companion that is pleasant throughout the courses.

Will definitely be a return and one of the regular destination. Must try if you are a local, good worthwhile destination if you are around...

Stopped at the lights beside Blossomy today, thought...... why not, I should eat. Clearly a new establishment as although they opened a while back, Covid kept customers away. I order the set a menu of minced pork noodles, fried chicken and Wintermelon drink. The owner made suggestions since I'd not been there and made sure I was aware the dish had a little spice, this was fine for me.

Have to say, I'm a bit particular about my food, but I really enjoyed this, all of it! Drink was interesting and not too sweet, chicken tasty and juicy, and the noodles had an excellent flavour and were cooked just right, with a tiny amount of chew. Had a chat with the lovely owner after and let her know I'll be returning with my fussy food wife, as she'll certainly agree with me. So glad I...

Cozy little space, good service from Nie Yong! We had the plum fried fish cake which was QQ & deep fried tofu with their signature garlic sauce, lovely starters! I had the Fried chicken leg Taiwanese Bento box. One of the item in the box that was surprisingly good was a taiwanese arancini: braised minced pork with rice. The fried chicken leg was seasoned nicely, chicken skin was crispy and juicy! The baked riced pork filet was so so. The pork filet was cooked well, but the cheese on the baked rice was measly. The meal ended nicely with an interesting dessert: fried taro balls with molten salted egg custard. It was da bomb! My partner who do not like taro, took to it very well! Definitely will return again!!
