Blu Olive Greek Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

One of the worst experiences we had at a restaurant and what made it more worse is the owner didn’t even care. We were out with friends to have a nice dinner and chose the place by looking at their reviews and the menu. Food tasted nice and looked great but soon our fun night turned into a nightmare as soon as we reached home. My daughter fell sick and threw up and we knew she got food poisoning and weren’t sure if it was the food that we just ate at Blu Olive. And as the night progressed 4 out of 7 people fell sick and were throwing up the night. And we knew it was the food that we ate for dinner. Next day was a disaster with 4 people sick and the plans for rest of the week were destroyed. I called up the restaurant next day to speak with the owner or the manager to discuss and see if any other customer of theirs called them about the food and to warn them that their food might be contaminated but to our dismay they didn’t bother and never called. Had Uber eats deliver our order which was delayed by 10mins and the food ordered was two open lamb souvlaki’s. The food arrived where the meat was cold, and chips stale. It was actually disgusting and we threw both meals in the bin. The meal cost $55.90 and we will not be going back to this restaurant again and too sad that we are also locals. I rang the restaurant and was told at 7.50pm that they were closing up and to email my complaint, which to me shows that they are not interested in anything the customer has to say and pretty much got rid of me over the phone.
