I don't know how this place has such good reviews, waste of perfectly good money. Would've preferred a microwave meal and a can of tuna. Ordered takeaway Pad Thai and Pad See Ew - both with chicken. Picked it up and went home. Tasted terrible. I've eaten a lot of varieties of Thai food through the years, and this bottoms out as the worst yet. The Pad See Ew came with beef instead of chicken, when I specifically requested chicken. The Pad Thai tasted gross, I didn't even finish it even though I was hungry and looking forward to it. Not only did it taste bad, but it looked bad. It tasted like a plate of pasta bolognaise, and didn't eat anymore and threw it out. I looked closer at it, and the sauce was red too?! This is a joke to call it Pad Thai, a waste of precious money in this economy. The photo doesn't do justice to the weird and off putting flavour of this dish.

Let me preface this with my qualification to judge Thai food as an English Australian. I worked at two Thai restaurants and was in the kitchen learning from the chefs. I purchased a wok burner at home to make my own food for my family (invested $1k). Now onto the $120 worth of food, every single item that was delivered had an acrid burnt taste due to the wok not being cleaned in quite some time and had way too much oil. The meat in the dishes had a sharp off taste! I had to spit it out. The vegetables in oyster sauce tasted like a clump of dirt was mixed into the sauce, cashew stir fry was taken from a jar, the pad Thai had too much tomato sauce, there was no freshness about any of it. I’m not seeking a refund or a voucher for a second go. I’m done. Disgusting, I’m surprised they haven’t been shut down by the health department.

Jun 2023 rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing dining experience at Timbarra Thai! The food was delicious and authentic, with a great variety of flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving tasty Thai cuisine. Oct 2023 rating: ⭐️⭐️ The amount of rice in the Vegetarian Thai fried rice is insufficient (too too less). I reported it, but no action was taken. Waitress just walked away. The flavor of the chicken fried rice has reduced a lot. I need to find a better Thai restaurant.

Let me start off by saying timbarra Thai has high quality Thai food. Perhaps slightly higher than the best of the other 5 within a 5km radius. I have been a long time customer and they know me by my first name. (Jesse) So now to my issues.. You will pay close to 40% higher than any other Berwick Thai restaurant.. That may be an issue for some. I'd say it's 5% better quality food than Berwick Thai but 40% more expensive.. You won't even get a free prawn crackers if you spend $60 which is nearly as cheap as 2 people could eat comfortably here. Every time I order I ask for some fresh chilli in whatever I order. 4 of the last 5 orders they have not put it in despite me saying please do not forget the fresh chilli. That isn't that big of a deal.. It isn't that big of a deal that they don't throw in a free bag of pork crackle and charge me $3 for it after my weekly $60+order. It isn't that big of a deal that they don't knock a bit off the price of they're dumpling noodle soup that I order every week without noodles.. It isn't that big of a deal that when my soup was insanely full of broccoli bugs(to the point of how the hell did you not notice) they just offered a replacement next time I come in. These things are not a big deal by themselves but they start to bother a (former) loyal customer.. They add up and now I won't be going back..

P.s the thing that bothered me the most was forgetting my chilli's every time.. It is heartbreaking every time I get home and open...

OMG ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY! where do I even start!? Okay so we ordered mixed entree but asked for no seafood our waiter was so hospitable and even helped us chose substitutes, the entrees where all beautiful and authentic and the satay and sweet chilli sauces where a perfect pairing. In total we ordered 4 drinks the menu unfortunately lacks description on Thai ice coffee and tea but I can tell you now they are so very different in the best of ways! The Thom yum cocktail is a MUST try if your up for something different so intense and zesty. For mains we ordered a chefs special (can't remember the name) which was practically four meals in one it was a great deal! The pork neck just fell apart the crackle is amazing AND you can buy 3 bags for $10 to take home! The flavours through all the mains where perfect! We also ordered the duck salad. The only faults we could find (we were looking) the duck salad could have used a bit more meat and personally I found there was a bit much coriander BUT it worked well still. We ordered deep fried ice cream for dessert and once again where blown away so delicious perfect crunch lovely sauce. To top it all off the atmosphere was amazing and the staff! Well they were all just so lovely jig the owner came out on multiple occasions to check on her customers and she is such a sweetheart. Would go back 10/10 CANT...

I can say we were less than impressed by the service and the quality of food. We order 2 main meals both requested to be vegan. First meal came out, the vegetables were undercooked and flavour of the dish was okay. The second dish came out with egg in it and we asked for it to be replaced. FOUR MINUTES later a replacement meal comes out. Vegetables were raw as well as the rice noodles. Along with this, the flavour of the dish was horrible my partner and I could not eat the meal. We spoke to their server about the situation his response was this “this is how we cook our dishes”… then processed to ask if we’ve ever eaten Thai food before, to which I answer I’ve been to Thailand and eaten traditional Thai food, we are very aware of the flavour balance of Thai food. They did not offer a discount for the meal, we had to ask, to which he responded I’ll need to speak to my manger, he came back saying good news guys I can take 50% off that one dish… could not belief the lack of care for their customers. My partner and Will NOT be returning. So sad to see a business not caring about the quality of their food and their...
