If there was such a score that was higher than 10/10 I would give it. Genius idea converting the hospital block (E division) of probably the most infamous gaol in Australia that is Pentridge into an amazing bar/restaurant. …More

Cold rainy day and the venue was absolutely packed, but we were warm and dry and the food came out pretty fast. Burger was delicious, fries crisp and nicely seasoned. Staff were friendly and kept on top of clearing tables, keeping the heaters running and serving food. …More

Customer Service needs improving as well as options for non alcoholic drinkers. Came to enjoy a 'Guest Beer' that I saw two weeks ago but advised it was no longer available but there is no information advising you how long 'Guest Beers' would be available for, which would be helpful. Asked for a Lemon Squash but was advised we don't have any. After further questioning, it was discovered that Lemon Squash is not sold but Ginger Ale, Pepsi and Coke (2 different brands of 'Coke' sold but Lemon Squash is not). On a quiet Tuesday afternoon, I asked the bartender about the costs and requirements for a private function to be held here but the response was, look at the webpage and you will find the information. However later I discovered not all the information I required was on the webpage hence my need for a 'face to face' discussion which was not provided or available. Tried to call BrewDog, hoping to speak to the events manager but the events manager was unavailable and my call went to voicemail. Another reason why I wanted the 'face to face', discussion in the first place. Prices for events such as a birthday party were not as 'budget friendly' for me compared to other venues. In the end, after these experiences, I have gone elsewhere and booked another venue as they were able to provide 'face to face' discussions, immediate availability and answers over the phone, plus the minor request of 'Lemon Squash'.

My Update to BrewDog Coburg's reply 6 days ago 15/4/25. Thankyou Harrison for your response and simple but effective solution to the lemon squash issue by thinking outside the box.

For clarity, could you respond to points 3 - 5 which could provide the same benefits to the public as you did for the lemon...

As Brits, we’re big fans of Brewdog and have been to many of their bars in the U.K. so I was excited to see this one opening. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It was relatively busy but not packed - Friday lunchtime.

Menu - you can order via QR code but the menu (online or paper) didn’t include all the info eg kids hoppy meal inc a drink but doesn’t say what drinks are included, and doesn’t offer an option to add one when you try to order online.

We decided to order at the bar so we can find out. The server struggled to understand the order so we had to repeatedly say nuggets with dipping sauce. Then we ordered 2 adult cheeseburger hoppy meals, 1 without pickles. Again this took repeated tries to get them to understand.

When the food arrived, the kids meal came without the dipping sauce and the adults boxes were both plain hamburgers. We told one of the servers that there was a mistake and repeated 2 cheeseburgers, 1 without pickles. When the replacements came, they were both cheeseburgers this time but neither of them had pickles! Honestly, it was ridiculous.

The menu says hoppy meals include a gift and an ice lolly. We all had a lovely crayon ans colouring book gift.

We weren’t sure what happened about the ice lollies but when I asked, they said you just have to let them know when you’re ready and they bring them. It was listed as a beer ice lolly or milk pop. What arrived were 3 vanilla ice creams. They were nice but not what was on the menu.

The main plus for me was the beer which was as good as I expected it to be. We had the e division pale ale which was really good.

I’m sure this is teething problems so hopefully next time it will...

I was pretty excited to visit given I had invested in the "equity for punks" campaign to get Brewdog over to Aus... When I finally got to visit this week I was pretty disappointed by a few things. Firstly; by the fact that there were no dark beers by Brewdog on the menu at all. Thankfully 3 ravens came to the rescue with their "mulled stout", which for some reason was served ice cold by Brewdog and not mulled, but was delicious anyway. Secondly by the fact that the "Hoppy Meal" states on the menu that it includes a burger, chips and Brewdog goodies. To be totally clear, this is false advertising as there were zero goodies and when questioned the staff pulled the "more alcohol will fix this!" trick and offered a free schooner. A free schooner does not qualify as "Brewdog goodies" and I was rather annoyed that I had then apparently settled for a boring meal based on the premise of a little goodie to take home and remember my trip by, instead of trying out something else from the expansive menu. Thirdly; the cheeseburger tasted entirely of salt and was not enjoyable at all. The positives: My partner had the schnitzel and rated it pretty highly. The dessert was good (although expensive for what it was), and the staff were friendly and well presented. The location is pretty awesome and the beer garden is cool af.

Great venue space. The outdoor seating area is large with lots of seating options. Most is uncovered or with umbrellas but it’s going to be very hot property come summer and those warm sunny days. Recommend to book, however we were able to walk in and get seated. Service is pretty quick. QR code from table or menus and order at the bar. Great range of Brewdog beers and interesting size ordering - 1/3 Pint, 1/2 pint, 2/3 pint or pint. I did see a tasting paddle go past but did not order one myself. The food was tasty, and definitely worth going back for. They were busy so my comment for food is that the chips were cooked fresh and were hot and crispy but the chicken (on 3 plates) was only warm. Wednesday is wings night and booking online will get you all you can eat wings for $25.00 with option of chicken buffalo wings or cauliflower buffalo wings. The wings were delicious (would have been better if they came out piping hot) and the blue cheese sauce was delicious. The chicken tenders were ok. Again would have been better if hot and not just warm. But the flavour was nice. Both the fries and the sweet potato fries were hot, fresh and tasty.
