Bruno's Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have loved this place for years, Ive been frequenting here long before the current owners took over years ago. They make the best pizzas by far, even better than any of the wood fired joints in Berwick or Dandy Nth, but holy moly it’s getting too expensive, I’ve been putting up with exorbitant for too long now and am not coming back, the last 2 pizzas I had delivered was over $90 with two drinks. Cmon, this is insane. I will not be buying off you any more, I have been a loyal customer for many many years but cannot stand this anymore. I will miss my Bruno’s pizzas, I already do as I have been cutting back for quite some time already but now I’m done, thanks for the good pizzas but no thanks for the price gouge

Edit: you guys outta try putting on a delivery driver and cutting out Uber Eats all together, if it’s 30% that’s nearly $30 I paid for delivery just for my last order, just ask any Uber driver that walks in the door if he wants to work directly for you, I’m sure it will work out better for the driver, better for you guys and better for customers. I used to work for local pizza shops delivering pizzas when I was younger and we had a few drivers every night (not Pizza Hut or a big pizza joint, just a local one). I recently tried Bruno’s Pizza and I was genuinely shocked by how good and authentic the pizza was. This is Italian done right.

The atmosphere felt welcoming and homey, and the staff were incredibly kind. One of them even called me a legend, which made the experience that much better 😅.

I ordered the Fondi and Hot Honey pizza and both were outstanding definitely try the limonata drink. The prices are a little higher than average but it is worth every dollar for the quality you get. Once you have it, it is the kind of food that keeps calling you back and becomes almost addictive.

I also made a mistake with my order but the team at Bruno’s Pizza were very respectful and professional. They sorted everything out quickly and went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after.

Bruno’s has long been our go-to restaurant, and for good reason. Every time we have guests, we confidently bring them here, knowing the food will never disappoint in terms of both taste and value for money. The dishes are always fresh, flavourful, and consistently excellent.

However, what truly sets Bruno’s apart is not just the food, but the outstanding customer service. During our recent visit, there was a slight mix-up—our guest's meal arrived, but ours was delayed. After enquiring, we discovered that our order had mistakenly been boxed for takeaway instead of being served for dine-in. It was a simple error, but the staff handled it wonderfully. One of the team members sincerely apologised and, to our surprise, insisted on offering complimentary cannolis as a gesture of goodwill. We hadn’t expected anything, but it was a thoughtful touch that went above and beyond.
