I bought food and coffee this morning from the Adamo Cafe at the Austin Repat in Waterdale Rd. I was charged around 23 dollars for a small protein ball, a 600 ml bottle of water, a burnt coffee and a cheese tomato and spinach sandwich that was bland (the bread that was used was probably a day old as it tasted like it was going stale) . I was careless to buy a pre made food item that was in a sandwich box with no expiry date. It should have been a tell tale sign to not puchase the sandwich in the first place but I trusted this hospital cafe to serve fresh food. What a disappointment ! I shoud have gone to 7-Eleven to buy myself a sandwich and a coffee. The sandwiches and coffee at Seven Eleven are far more superior in quality and freshness compared to this place and not to mention much cheaper! In addition, the cafe crew were not friendly. It definitely wasnt a service given with a smile- not indeed a good atmosphere. On a positive note the best part of my breakfast was the protein ball and the water, but sorry to say that I shall never go back...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. Went at 6:58PM and cafe was about to close, still few people in line. There were only 4-5 pieces of chips left in the bowl (far from even enough for 1 small bag), so I ordered 2x dimsums and asked if I can have the rest of the leftover chips (that they’d throw anyway), to which they put the pieces in a paper bag. Dimsums were 2$ each… they charged me $1 for like 5 pieces of chips and put the item as ‘miscellaneous’…
I asked how much a small bag was and they said $5. The pieces i got barely made up like 1/10 of the small bag. I paid and left anyway, to which my friend was equally disappointed at how stingy and ridiculous this was.
I don’t normally write bad reviews but this experience needed one. Perhaps I should have asked re price but I was expecting it to be complimentary or perhaps $0.50? I am not fussed about money but charging $1 for 5 pieces of...
Read moreToday I was trying to choose a sandwich/meal with most having prices on them. However, there were three or four sandwiches which did not have prices. I chose just a simple sandwich with three slices of tomato, two slices of halloumi cheese with a sprinkle of black pepper. Add to that, a small cappuccino, and the cost was almost $20, which I quickly tapped before realising the amount. My price shock for such basic ingredients prompted me to ask how much the VERY simple sandwich was... $15. I asked why the price was not displayed, and that if I knew how much, I would not have paid. The women was apologetic and said she would put the price on now. However, another staff member quickly spoke to her, and she returned the description tag to the display cabinet, still with no price tag. What sort of business is this? You treat your customers like...
