Cafe Greco — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place is interesting to say the least Firstly I would like to say the service by the staff was outstanding. Our waiters were more than happy to help and were prompt and cheery. However, I have much sympathy for the conditions that they have to work in. The floor was stupidly slippery regardless of the wet floor signs the floor was dry. Upon entering I looked like a cartoon character skidding before they go to run. Members of my party slipped over countless times even after they got back up. 2 poor waiters slipped whilst HOLDING FOOD dropping the meals this ruining their evenings. No apologies made by any staff to our party. It was very dangerous and I cannot recommend bringing elderly family here as it is just not safe. Lastly the food was average at best. The lamb was dry and the chicken was too oily. It lacked flavour and was unfortunately very under seasoned. I would love to say I'd come back but certainly will not as it's dangerous and food is of average quality. My advice is to get take away from here and for the waiters to find other jobs as I can guarantee they are not being paid above minimum for these...

I'm sad to say this will be my last time eating at Cafe Greco...

I've been eating here since you opened... It has been a while since my last visit (that was an an amazing 5 star night where I invited 15 people)

Tonight, the chips were powdery and tasted of freezer. The calamari had no flavour & we had these returned as there was no way we were going to eat that for the price you charge.

We had to wait an hour for the food to be served after the order...

The lamb was tasty, but it had so much cartilage & fat that I felt as I was placing more back on the plate than what I was eating...

The service... I have experience in the industry, so what I'm saying haunts me. In the event of returning a plate that was unsatisfactory, I thought at least an apology or even better, a waiter or management attending the table to offer another option as a replacement. Even come an show you care in your product & service... Totally disappointed in the evening that we wanted to share at your establishment...

I just ordered a lamb skewer souvlaki with with tomato lettuce and and onion with out tzatziki sauce and the reason i ordered a lamb souvlaki with out iut uuro is because it slow cooks for hours even adding yesterdays leftovers,and when i called to complain he said gou just ordered a lamb skewer,wich was hard as rock ,im replying why are j lying i am greek i know what a souvlaki is a know how to order as i am fluent i both languages αλλα ο καρακιοζης κου πουλαγε τρελα και επανελειμενα με εβγαζε ψευτη(saying that i don’t know how to order and that j ordered wronly and insistingand telling that customers come in here all the time and just order 1 skewer.instead of apologising.He was so rude and still lying to my face.One of those greeks that talk like albanias with no accent.Never dealing with el greco water gardens again .So next time guys do not order a souvlaki meal with screwers .Just say skewer and get chao$18 dollars...
