Little Sparrow — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve been a regular customer at this cafe for some time, but I’m truly disappointed with how things have changed over the years since the change of management.

The prices have and continue to increase, which would be understandable if the service matched the cost but for the small portions and often underwhelming quality, i cant truly justify coming here anymore. (They've also since coincidentally removed the listed pricing of all their items from their displays)

Ontop of this, the customer service overall is often lackluster, especially from an older woman who seems uninterested in providing a pleasant experience to anyone. The only saving grace tends to be the younger employees, who are polite, friendly, and go out of their way to try and make the experiences somewhat enjoyable. Yet despite this, these are the very staff members that are given the least shifts, or often being let go?

Honestly, a baffling decision considering they provide the best service, and are single-handedly the reason i'll choose to come to this cafe over the many, more affordable(and arguably better) ones just a short walk around the corner. And at this rate, it looks like I'm going to continue taking those walks around the shops, until some serious improvements and...

Over priced coffee. Was charged $7:20 for a coffee. They classed it as a large coffee, when in fact it was a regular sized coffee (only 2 options available Large and regular. Regular is actually small). Baffled by the cost i did question if they had charged me correctly. i proceed with the payment happy to suck up the inflated cost. I patiently waited for my take away coffee and once ready, i was then given a lecture by the barista and how they don't make any profit and that he hopes my children never have to work in hospitality. This was totally unwarranted. If i didn't want the coffee i would have happily have walked away to another business in the centre which sells coffee at a much cheaper price. Wont...

The guy that works here and makes the coffees has very bad attitude and customer service. I returned my coffee for it wasn’t hot and he tried to cause an argument with me with attitude. Mind you, I asked him nicely but instead he rolled his eyes in front of me making me feel very uncomfortable. I always come here and never have a problem for all the other staff are always amazing except for that one man Which I don’t know his name but he is working there today.
