Food and coffee where DELICIOUS! We had a donut & a beautifully crafted sandwich & a round of coffees.

BUT - when we wouldn't pay cash, we where met with arrogance. Like, absolute arrogance. We spent 5 mins trying to pay for our meals with card. Eventually we paid via EFT. Don't offer EFT if you're that tied up on it?

When we arrived home, we have an extra $20 charge on our card. 🙄 We aren't local so we can't return - We are absolutely sure after the scene made by not paying cash, the owner knew he was profiting off us via EFT.

The customer service is pretty deplorable - Confirmed by other reviews too. There are many other fantastic cafes along the strip in Ivanhoe that I'm sure will...

Super disappointed as the cafe looks legit and was keen for a good sandwich/coffee. But…… I Ordered a chicken schnitzel panini and a triple shop latte. The roll was so dry. The guy serving said “lettuce cheese tomato?” and one would assume mayo. but it came out with pickled veggie’s olives included 🤣 and no mayo in sight! when I asked for mayo the guy said “sorry man got none left” then they hit me for 24 dollars😭 The place had a bit of a strange vibe I Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Aftet reading a couple of unfair and inaccurate reviews about cafe Tre Fontane I felt compelled to come to the defence of this marvelous cafe. It has been a favorite of mine for over five years. I don't visit as often as I'd like because I don't live in the area however if I did I would be there every day. I wouldn't have a moka anywhere else because its the only place that knows how to make it.
