I too am not sure what all the hype is about. Overrated. Not as good as everyone makes it out. Probably the worst Fish & Chips I've ever eaten. Staff seem to be yelling at each other and rude service I find. Slams the coin on the table instead of handing you change like a person.

In terms of the food; Was a bit of a wait, but that was okay. Went away to eat our order, only to find there was a large part of our order missed. Called up and they told us to come back in. They made it and when we went to eat it, it was inedible and chewy and made my partner feel ill. In terms of the food I DID initially receive, it was very average to say the least. Was the smallest piece of 'flake' I think I've ever seen. Skinny and with little fish inside. Overcooked also. Total rip-off for 7+ dollars. My partner's gummy shark had half of the fish missing and was all batter/skin at the end. No salt whatsoever on the chips. Not even an apology when we had to inconveniently go back in to pick up the part of our order that was missing... Go a few hundred metres up the road somewhere else to the other fish & chip shops around. Hard to believe they have a 4+ star rating... They don't deserve it, sorry but.. It's really rude to not even say "Sorry about that" when missing half a customers' order...

It's a definite 1000% pass from me... Definitely...

Use to be great. Unfortunately went the other night and the flake was like cat food. Asked the guy if it was frozen..he said no, but it was a different supplier 😖

Add to this they messed up the order with little to no care. If your after a decent fish and chip probably look elsewhere.

Update : YES ! This conversation did happen. I’ve attached my screenshot of my bank transaction as proof ! When I came back in to have my order corrected, I asked about the fish. The guy wrapping told me he didn’t think they were frozen..but did say “new supplier”.

Maybe have a chat to your staff (perhaps you need to provide some basic training), or atleast clarify the changes. The flake is 100pc different to what it was. If your staff member was wrong, maybe your supplier has changed his process etc.

Funny how you claim the conversation never happened , and I was in the wrong shop…yet my bank transaction clearly identifies your shop. If you can’t handle critiscm, then maybe focus a little more on what could actually be the problem instead of of making out the customer has mistaken your business for another.

Judging by other reviews…doesn’t seem I’m the only one to think things have slid either. It’s a shame because we have been a long term customer and travelled a long way to visit. The decline is...

hmmm how can you explain this

this fish and chip shop has always been reliable - until the last two orders !!!

1st one they left off a expensive piece of flake - and charged us and then refused to refund only credit

2nd one - they try and poison someone with very toxic food served from their cookers - so toxic it would have left the eater either hospitalised or so sick for days the amount of loss of income is mind boggling - especially through the holiday season where income is HUGE - and they only offered a refund !!!

THEN

when stated I am already offered a credit - they state - "So"

Dont eat here if you wish to stay safe with your allergies

Dont eat here if you expect polite service

Dont eat here if you expect your food delivered in whole

go to maccas - better hit and miss ratio - and that is managed by teenager

Simply amazeballs food

And the guy who runs the place - GREAT fella - always delivers the best food - any issues at all and he is all ova it

Very clean shop - which is hard and rare for a fish and chip shop

And the staff are generally up for a giggle
