Chew Chew — Restaurant in Melbourne

Very very disappointing, I'll treatment by a seniorcstaff.. we waited almost 1hour 15 mins for food on asking how much time it might they kept saying 5 mins but the food never arrived. Then a mature lady (staff) came to us and was quite rude trying instruct us that we need to wait as they are down with chef no matter what we should wait it was very insulting as all other sitting in restaurant got their food expect us I don't know if this was some kind of differentiation or what as we are Indians.. did they think we will listen to whatever they will say.. we had aged people with us my in-laws (with diabetes) and waiting till 3pm for food, almost the time the restaurant is supposed to close if they were down with chef they should have informed us in the beginning who takes their lunch at 3pm and they can see aged people with us still they just tried to hold us.. we had to walk off without having our food and eat somewhere else they also instead of trying to stop us allowed us to leave with full attitude as if they don't care. Neither I will ever visit Chew Chew (Miner Ponds) nor will suggest my friends...

Food & coffee is decent. Service is appalling. I got handed a menu and asked within 2 sec of what my order is...i hadnt turned the menu upright to even read it. I ordered a cap and will need to read the menu first, for the next 20 min i got neither a cappacino or someone back to take my food order. So i walked inside, ordered & paid so i wouldnt have to come back and pay after eating. Advised i had ordered my coffee but not received it. When food was eventually served, no pepper or salt...so i had to walk inside AGAIN to get the pepper & salt off another table. When i was eventually given my coffee, was advised the docket had been thrown away as another customer had ordered the same coffee..a cappacino... its the most common order. 15%surcharge on Sat &sun which they dont write on the menu, only a little sign on the til. For $34 would i come back for brunch for this type of serivce & taking twice as long when less than 50% of their tables are occupied....NO. at most i'd get a takeaway coffee if i...
