Moonee Ponds Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is a ratting for the pizza only. We haven’t tried the pasta or dine in to give a review on that part.

We have ordered 2 pizzas tonight and payed $47 for it (pick up). This is almost the same price as Carosello, I actually just checked and it is more expensive than Carosello. We had an American and a Wayne’s special. They clearly cut on the quality and quantity but not the price. The hot salami, was small and barely there, half a small slice here and there. When hot salami is the primal ingredient, you expect to see some slices spread evenly on the pizza to get a taste of it. The Wayne’s special was not very flavorsome either. I don’t know what was the special all about. It was pretty bland and I was expecting a savory garlic taste with some nice chunks of bocconcini but there really wasn’t much on it. We love a good Italian pizza, and clearly people love this place so we thought we would give it a try as we like our local restaurants but we will not come back. Definitely not a place for us. We did enjoy watching the happy families...

I am so disapointed. the reviews were great so decided to try it, but when it arrived.. I got the pesto pasta, rocking in at $9.50 for an ENTREE i was shocked at how little it was.. and it was just plain pasta with some pesto.. nothing else.!? not to mention it was DROWNING in oil! like i literally could not eat it it was soooo oily. next onto the mediocre pizza which was very bland and dry, had to add my own sauces. and to top off dessert I opted for the pancakes which were voted a favourite, and got the 'fresh strawberries' fresh my arse! i looked like a can of very sad processed strawberries DRENCHED and I mean COMPLETELY UNRECOGNISABLY drenched in bright red syrup. it was awful I didnt even attempt to eat it, not a single nice fresh berry insight and the plain maple pancakes my partner got tasted like plastic. VERY DISAPOINTED WOULD NOT RECOMMEND and sooo guttered at how much money I spent!!! EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! $50 for one pizza, one entree pasta and two, literally two small pancakes. WORST....

Ordered a pizza and pasta to Avondale heights on a Friday at 6.07pm and was told I was going to be an hour late which I could accept considering it was a Friday . To have it turn up at 8.30 stone cold and the pasta leaking everywhere is totally unacceptable . Then have I have to cop the French delivery driver to say we are sorry we are very busy and cop full price is a joke . Then having to reheat The pizza and recover some sort of the pasta is a fair sign I won’t be ordering again.. People keep on saying moonne ponds pizza is back I...
